I was let down. In the smaller size, I liked the Barista Blend because it blended well and didn't require straining. It went down smoothly. This larger size, on the other hand, leaves a clump of sediment that refuses to dissolve. To avoid large chunks of matcha, I need to strain each cup. I'm not sure why the consistency varies so much from one size to the next, but it's like night and day. It's still tasty, but it's inconvenient to spend so much money and be forced to strain for the rest of your life. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I tried a different method of preparation and it seemed to help a little. I'm still perplexed as to why the quality varies so much between sizes. I still think it's a good product and would recommend it to others.
This green tea is exactly as described in terms of its use in lattes, smoothies, and other beverages; in fact, my green tea latte tastes even better than Starbucks'. You'll need to use a sweetener of some sort. You don't need much sweetener, so I used a small amount of raw honey or my own homemade simple syrup. It has a very strong bitter flavor and would be disgusting if consumed straight, but who would do so? It's well worth the money I'll save by not going to Starbucks, and I'll be able to make as much or as little as I like.
I couldn't tell the difference between this matcha powder and others that were cheaper.

It was well worth it because it was extremely powerful and concentrated. Use almond milk as a substitute for my morning coffee. To combine the ingredients, I use my milk foam maker.
This matcha tasted unpleasantly bitter and coarse compared to what I'm used to. This one didn't appeal to me as much as the ceremonial and culinary grades of jade. I purchased my bag from Jade Leaf's website, and the taste is barely bearable at 2 grams.
