It has a much more pleasant taste. This tea is harvested in the spring and is intended to be consumed as part of a traditional tea ceremony. The second harvest, which took place in August, is not suitable for tea ceremonies. It's more commonly used in a variety of ways, such as smoothies. I used to drink 2nd harvest as part of a tea ceremony, but after trying the ceremonial grade, I've never gone back. Save money and stick with it if you enjoy the second harvest. If you have the funds, purchase ceremonial grade and enjoy it.

This batch of matcha left me a little disappointed. I expected a stronger vegetal chlorophyll flavor, which is why I gave it three stars. It's just and reasonable. However, in terms of taste, this isn't the case. If you're going to use it in the kitchen, this is the way to go. It's not something I'd ever use. If you don't like the taste of strong green tea, this is the drink for you. When I eat it, I notice a difference. So it's doing its thing with the green tea. br>I just wish it had a more robust flavor. It has a bland taste to it. If any of you reading this know of a better matcha with a rich, full flavor, please let me know. Please do not hesitate to make suggestions to me. Thanks.
I've since purchased a number of other reputable ceremonial grade teas to compare it to, but nothing has come close to matching the quality of this tea. Despite its high price, I wanted to try it to see how it compares to other Matchas. br>br>This Matcha is of ceremonial grade; it is not inexpensive It has a beautiful color and a delicious flavor. When whisked, it produces a nice foam and is slightly less bitter than premium Matcha. It comes in a resealable can, similar to what you'd find in a Japanese home. Try premium grade Matchas if you want to save money. Premium Matcha is slightly less expensive than ceremonial Matcha, but most people can't tell the difference. It's a lot less expensive, so I recommend it.
Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha from DoMatcha is by far the best matcha I've found on Amazon. Clearspring Organic is the beverage of choice for me. Ceremonial Grade Matcha is available on Amazon, but it isn't always in stock, and when it is, I have to wait a month or more for delivery: (DoMatcha Ceremonial grade has worked well as a stand-in: ) This matcha has a lovely bright green color, it blends smoothly and doesn't leave annoying little clumps like the Aiya matcha, and it tastes fantastic. After drinking this tea, I feel fantastic. I drink this tea every day and have it delivered to my house on a regular basis so that I don't run out. That is how good it is. I'd like to point out that I've tried their non-alcoholic beverages. It's an organic ceremonial option (Wholefoods was out of organic) but it's not comparable to their organic grade. It was so bad that I couldn't drink it and had to resort to baking with it. I would highly recommend this matcha to anyone looking for a good organic ceremonial grade matcha. .
The flavor is silky smooth and devoid of bitterness, which is remarkable given that most brands I've tried are mildly bitter. It also has a faintly fruity flavor, but it's not overpowering. It's absolutely fantastic. And because a little goes a long way, I'm less worried about spending so much money on something so expensive. Overall, this is a high-quality matcha with a very smooth flavor. br>br>I also liked that it had a sticker on the bottom that said when it was harvested as well as the best before date. Most food products don't seem to have that, so knowing when it was made and how fresh it is was helpful.
