How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Yorkshire Gold is a high-quality blend made from specially selected black teas from Asam's, Rwanda's, and Kenya's top ten tea gardens. This tea yields a rich, golden liquor with character and brightness, as well as a brisk, refreshing flavor.
What is it about Yorkshire tea that makes it so delicious? The simple reason is that we never cut corners when it comes to quality. We only use the finest teas in our blends, and the difference is palpable.
Yorkshire Gold Tea has a rich, malty flavor that pairs well with milk and sugar.
All Yorkshire tea is grown by Rainforest Alliance Certified Growers, so we take care of everything properly.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a non-profit organization that promotes responsible forest management, harvesting wood in a way that ensures the forest's biodiversity, productivity, and ecological processes are preserved, is the mark on our Yorkshire Tea boxes.

Questions & Answers

This was finely cut, ideal for drip makers. My most recent purchase was a loose-fitting bag. Is this a change that will last?

I've been drinking this tea for years, and I've only bought fine cut teas. They don't look like leaves or sticks at all. When I travel, I use a French press with a "FINE" screen or a fine mesh insert (yes, I'm a nut who brings my own loose tea on cruises). In the last year, I've bought several kilo bags, and they've all been fine - Maybe you got an "off" one. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is there a decaf version of this?

Although there are decaf versions, I don't believe they taste as good.

Is it possible to recycle the tea bag?

There isn't even a bag for the inside. The only bag on the outside is made of plastic and has a metallic finish. Despite the fact that the tea does not leave a deposit on the bag's surface, it is not recyclable in most areas due to its contact with food.

The Yorkshire Gold leaf tea has an expiration date. ?

Okay tea- Tea leaves that are extremely small
3/5

I really wanted to like this tea, but it turned out to be nothing like I expected. The flavor is acceptable, but I find it to be a little bitter. I was also taken aback by the ground-up tea leaves I received. If you like loose leaf tea as much as I do, this brand of tea in bags is a good alternative. br>**The tea leaves on the left are the Ceylon tea leaves I usually purchase, while the tea leaves on the right are Yorkshire Gold tea leaves.

It seemed too good to be true, and I knew it
3/5

We drink a lot of loose leaf tea in this house, almost exclusively Taylor's of Harrogate; we've tried and will continue to try other brands and types of tea, but the Taylor's of Harrogate line has been our mainstay. ,br>For example, I'm staring at cans of Afternoon Darjeeling (yes), Tea Room Blend (not my taste), Assam Estate Leaf Tea (yes, yes), Scottish Breakfast (not really) and English (our go-to lately) and, for the first time in donkey's years, Earl Gray (surprisingly enjoyable). br>Amazon recommended this tea to me as a purchase, which perplexed me because I've never purchased it and don't buy journeyman teas like Lipton's and others. I did, however, purchase it. Mostly because of the low price and the fact that it's a Taylor's of Harrogate product, I believe it could be a good cup of tea even at such a low price. To be honest, it isn't. The tea itself is an unappealing mass of little crumbs and balls of crushed leaf, at least to my taste. The bag that came with it looked a little battered, which may help to explain the bad part, which is that the tea itself is an unappealing mass of little crumbs and balls of crushed leaf. It has a dusty appearance, indicating that some of it has leaked into the cup or pot in which it is brewed. It's not a pleasant experience to drink dregs. br>I don't like the flavor because it's a little woody or muddled. Because this is a first impression, it's possible that the flavor will grow on me, but I doubt it. When the tea is smelled dry, it has a floral note, but it also has a sharp aftertaste that hints at the woody aftertaste of the brewed leaf. br>If you're looking for a tea with a moderate amount of caffeine, this one will suffice; after drinking a cup, I definitely feel energized. br>Based on my experience with this product, I would recommend Taylor's of Harrogate's other loose leaf teas instead. In the grand scheme of things, their higher monetary cost pales in comparison to the far superior flavor that these other teas produce. The named estate teas are a unique experience.

Powder that is very fine
3/5

I was very excited because I thought I was getting loose leaf tea (Yorkshire Tea) - I usually get Yorkshire Tea in bags. countless years - I like it a lot. However, I received fine powder, which is weak even when brewed for a long time and appears to be fake in some ways. In addition, the flavor of the brew is distinct. As a result, I'm curious. I've been wondering if someone is faking something in the Amazon orders I've received recently.

Lovely tea from the United Kingdom! This is a lovely tea
5/5

I once saw an interview where Liam Nielsen bemoaned the "fact" that his favorite tea, Yorkshire Gold, was unavailable in the United States. Regrettably, he has never heard of Amazon because he is so well-protected. This tea is great for breakfast because it has a great flavor and gives you a boost without the bitterness that other breakfast teas can have. br>br>I've been drinking this for several years, as well as their Yorkshire tea (red label) - Changing back and forth between the two based on Amazon's sale prices, which fluctuate. I just wish there was a decaf version of this for my iced tea. br>br>I buy a kilo or an eight-pound bag. 8 oz depending on price/availability; once the bag is opened, store any unused tea in an airtight container to preserve flavor.

Give this a miss if you're a fan of excellent loose leaf tea
3/5

I decided to give Yorkshire Gold a try after seeing Sir Patrick Stewart recommend it. Very let down. This isn't a high-end tea; it's just regular teabag tea sold as "loose leaf. " The tea is CTC (crush tear curl), with very small pieces, a lot of fannings, and a lot of dust; the flavor is not subtle. This tea will be relegated to the back of my tea shelf, where it will most likely languish until I decide to compost it.

a fantastic deal Growing up, I was taught to make tea in the traditional way
5/5

I was used to using a tea strainer in a teapot with loose leaves, for example. This may be a step you're not ready for if you're used to tea in a bag. Personally, I'm avoiding the chemicals that can leach out of tea bags. Because the tea leaves are small and dry like granules, you don't need as much to get a flavorful full-bodied cup of tea. Tea for the whole body. In a large tea pot (one that can hold up to 8 cups of water or 4 mugs), I usually place a heaping tablespoon of the tea. I'll buy it again if I see it at a good price, and I've noticed that Amazon most likely uses an algorithm to adjust prices in response to demand.

A good price-to-quality ratio; It appears to be several days late every time
3/5

I'm a bit of a self-centered person, like many others here. 'I'm a tea snob,' confessed the tea snob. 'However, why not?' The Cofeeistas flaunt and push each other around. Tea is not a popular beverage in America (though it is in the rest of the world); however, it is popular in the rest of the world. Shame on you. br>I've been buying this tea for a few years now for early morning draughts of the delectable reddish-brown color. It's the brown tea that delivers. I save other, more expensive teas for later in the day, when I'm more alert and don't need anything to get me going. That may give the impression that I think of this as 'fuel,' but I don't. It's a very good, simple tea with a pleasant flavor. But don't expect anything spectacular: but a good solid value for your money that far outweighs anything you could get off the shelves of your local store. When paired with this, Twinings, for example, tastes like mud! Having said that, I don't believe I've ever ordered this tea and had it arrive on time. I'm not sure why this is, but it means that whenever I order tea, I always have about two weeks' worth of tea left and always run out before the next bags arrive on time. Perhaps UPS is to blame, or perhaps the seller, or perhaps customs, or perhaps all of the above. In any case, if you enjoy it as much as I do, order it at least a month to six weeks ahead of time, or you'll be stuck with inferior brews for ten days while waiting for someone, somewhere to do their job properly and deliver this very nice product to you, the impatient customer, and to me.
