How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Yorkshire Gold is a high-quality blend made from specially selected black teas from Asam's, Rwanda's, and Kenya's top ten tea gardens. This tea yields a rich, golden liquor with character and brightness, as well as a brisk, refreshing flavor.
What is it about Yorkshire tea that makes it so delicious? The simple reason is that we never cut corners when it comes to quality. We only use the finest teas in our blends, and the difference is palpable.
Yorkshire Gold Tea has a rich, malty flavor that pairs well with milk and sugar.
All Yorkshire tea is grown by Rainforest Alliance Certified Growers, so we take care of everything properly.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a non-profit organization that promotes responsible forest management, harvesting wood in a way that ensures the forest's biodiversity, productivity, and ecological processes are preserved, is the mark on our Yorkshire Tea boxes.

Questions & Answers

What's the distinction between Yorkshire gold and Yorkshire red?

The Red, in my opinion, is more potent, and if you leave the tea bag in the cup for too long, you will get a very strong cup of tea. The gold has a more delicate (rounded?) appearance. ) flavor, and leaving the tea bag in the cup for an extended period of time does not result in a significantly stronger cup of tea. Of course, this is just my opinion based on my own personal experiences. I'd recommend trying both and seeing which you prefer; if you enjoy a good British cuppa, you can't go wrong with either.

What is the flavor of this tea in comparison to Irish or English breakfast tea? Also, are the leaves bigger or powdery and crushed? Please accept my sincere thanks. ?

The leaves aren't particularly large, but they're also not powdery. During the brewing process, very little sediment, if any, reaches the bottom of the cup. The bags are larger than a typical tea bag - Lipton - In as little as 16 oz. of water, it will brew a nice strong cup of tea. The flavor reminds me of English breakfast rather than Irish breakfast, and it's very smooth - Even if you steep the tea bag for longer than it's supposed to, it's not bitter or acidic. It is, without a doubt, one of my favorite breakfast tea brands.

Is there any caffeine in this tea?

It's a mixture of black teas. The word "decaffeinated" is nowhere to be found on the box. So, unless decaffeinated, black teas do contain caffeine.

Is it a square or a round tea bag?

The tea bag has a square shape.

We've never had a black tea that compares to this
5/5

We were under the impression that black tea was not our cup of tea. Only if we were forced to eat it, the bitterness could be hidden behind a mountain of sugar. We were persuaded to try it by a YouTuber named The Spiffing Brit, who declared Yorkshire Gold to be the best tea ever. To sample both the Yorkshire Red and the Yorkshire Gold, we placed an order. We made one of each and tasted them both side by side. The standard black tea, such as Twinings or Bigelow, was used in the Red version. It didn't appeal to us any longer. We then tried the Gold and just stared at each other for a while. It was lightly perfumed (if that's even possible with tea) and smooth, savory, and sweet all at once, though not in the way that sweetened tea is sweet, but rather in a pleasant way. We tried it plain, with a little sugar, and with milk, and it was delicious in all three forms. There was no bitterness in the aftertaste, only a pleasant sensation. We've finally figured out what people are talking about when they say "a proper cup of tea. ".

The taste is good, but I don't think the higher price is justified
3/5

I'm not a tea connoisseur, nor do I consume tea on a regular basis. Because of the Spiffing Brit on YouTube, I felt compelled to try Yorkshire Gold tea, as did a few others. Despite the fact that he made a lot of noise about it, as a non-professional, I found it to be quite disappointing. As a tea drinker, I don't see how this tea compares to other generic black teas such as Liptons. br>br>While the tea has a lovely red color, the flavor is identical to any prepackaged black tea I've ever tried. This tea tastes good, but I don't think the higher price tag is justified when compared to mass-produced tea packets. br>br>The box is nice because it has a lid that opens and closes easily, but I don't like that the tea bags aren't individually wrapped or have a string to pull on. Overall, Yorkshire Gold tastes good, but I wouldn't know the difference between it and any other black tea. However, because I am not a tea drinker, my plebeian taste buds are unlikely to appreciate the nuanced flavor that makes this tea so much more expensive than less expensive brands.

This is the best tea I've had in a long time
5/5

I used to drink a lot of hot tea in my teens, but then Starbucks entered my life, and for nearly 40 years, I was a Starbuckian every day, sometimes twice a day. As I've gotten older, I'm no longer able to drink coffee all day, and I've lost interest in Lipton and many of the other brands found on the shelves of the stores where I shop. One day, while browsing teas, I came across Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold and decided to give it a try. I brewed it in my new Brown Betty teapot, and when I poured the tea into my cup, it was pure gold goodness. I mixed it with a smidgeon of half-and-half and drank it. It was absolutely delicious with 1/2 cup and a squirt of Stevia. The tea has a slight maltiness to it, which I enjoy, and it's very smooth. This golden goodness has won me over. Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold is now my preferred brand.

Tea from the United Kingdom is the best
5/5

This is the finest tea ever produced in the United Kingdom. It's won a lot of awards, and rightfully so. br>It has a flavor that is bold, robust, and smooth. I've been drinking multiple cups of coffee every day for years. br>Warning: The following information is for informational purposes only. Take a look at the information on the back of the box. These tea bags are large and contain a substantial amount of tea. A single bag of tea can make at least two cups of extremely strong tea, and even more if you prefer a milder tea.

the sun Yorkshire gold tea was my go-to in the past
3/5

It had a powerful impact. This one appears to have a different tea than the original Yorkshire English tea, as other users have pointed out.

This is an excellent tea
5/5

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations because it was my son's idea. He saw it on YouTube and knew he had to give it a shot. I placed my order, sceptical and with a number of reservations. This was the second time we had received a package. The first box had a problem with shipping and delivery, which Amazon quickly resolved. I have nothing but praise for Amazon's handling of the situation. Let's get to the tea, shall we? It tastes great. It's not only delicious, but it's also incredibly healthy. I'm not a tea connoisseur, but I do appreciate a good cup. My son was so enamored with it that he refused to share it. We prefer it strong, so we steep it for five minutes. With a little honey and milk, we're in tea heaven. Try it! This is a fantastic tea.

I find it a bit strange
3/5

I'm a big fan of Twinings and, despite trying other brands over the years, it's still my go-to tea. I bought this to try something new and different, and boy, is it different. I tried it the old-fashioned way in college - I brewed 6 or 7 cups before making a final decision, waited days between attempts, experimented with brewing time, and so on, but I just can't stand this tea. br>2 stars because, despite my dislike of the flavor, it isn't a bad product. Twinings Earl Grey (despite recent quality issues, I haven't found another I like as much), Lady Grey, and Prince of Wales are my go-to teas.

This tea has a special place in my heart
5/5

A British friend introduced me to this tea, and my life has never been the same since. It's an understatement to say I love this tea. It brings me joy every time I drink it, and I drink it several times a day. The flavor sings across my tastebuds, and the freshness of the aroma fills the nose as soon as you open the box. I store it in airtight containers to preserve as much freshness as possible. I hope to be able to drink this tea every day for the rest of my life, and that would mean a great deal to me.
