Will the warranty cover Canada if I buy this as a gift for a friend who lives there?

For any warranty work required under your Jura warranty for a unit purchased in the United States, the owner must return the machine to Jura USA. Because this is unlikely, most Canadian customers appear to be willing to take a chance. Out-of-warranty work, service, and other needs would be handled by the Jura Canada distributor.

I purchased this machine about three months ago, and there is always a puddle of water underneath it when I move it to clean. Is there anything I'm missing?

This is an excellent query. I've had my machine for three months, which is about the same amount of time. I've never noticed anything like this before, and I just checked. Water does collect inside the tray area where the leftover cake of ground coffee ends up, and it does so in large quantities. The water in the inside tray is constantly being emptied by me. It's clean water, no coffee besides the ground cakes, and no water, by the way, should end up in there. If you don't empty the tray like I do, I'm sure it'll spill over to the bottom of the machine, as you've discovered. I'm not sure where your problem is coming from if you're emptying that trap area, taking everything out completely, and upending it into the sink. I haven't paid attention to the underside of my machine and plan to do so now, including experimenting with leaving the tray empty to see what happens. It'll probably happen. Thank you for contacting me with your query.

Coffee is excellent, but it requires a lot of upkeep
3/5

I've had a Jura machine (ENA Micro 90) for over a year, and while it makes excellent coffee, it's far from maintenance-free. br>br>It makes no difference if you use the cleaning products as directed; after 4 to 6 months of continuous use, the machine will develop problems due to the accumulation of coffee residue in the brewing unit, particularly in the filter screen and the drainage valve that is connected to the brewing unit. br>br>As a result, be prepared to send the machine out for cleaning (paying US$ 100 plus shipping costs if you can disassemble and pull out the brewing unit, or $500 plus shipping costs if you have to send the entire machine). br>br>I have mechanical technical skills, and while I was able to remove the brewing unit with little difficulty (about 2 hours the first time, and probably 30 minutes after repeating it a few times), some of the internal parts are extremely delicate (most components are made of plastic). br>br>You can save money by disassembling and cleaning the brewing unit and drainage valve manifold yourself, but be prepared to put in some "tough love. " br>br>There are several videos on the internet that show you how to do it, but it will take you about 5 hours to disassemble and another 2 hours to reassemble the first time; the process will improve with practice, but it will be a painful learning experience. br>br>Be very careful not to break any of the parts during the process. I used a file to partially cut some of the plastic latching tabs, making assembling and disassembling easier and preventing components from breaking after a few repetitions. However, if you need a replacement part from Jura, keep in mind that they do not sell internal components. So, if you break something, you'll have to buy it from a 3rd party vendor (if you can find it), improvise, or simply scrap your expensive machine. br>br>I did break one small component (outlet funnel that is attached to the grinder unit) because it is poorly designed and is in the way the entire time you're pulling the brew unit out and installing it back in. It was only a matter of time before it broke. br>br>I contacted Jura directly, and they refused to sell me a replacement. I was able to work around the problem, but be aware that Jura does not provide any after-sales support, despite the fact that it produces excellent coffee.

If you have the time, the Ena Micro 90 is a must-have
5/5

If you only need an espresso machine for 1 or 2 people and are a neat freak who enjoys reading the manual and following all cleaning, rinsing, and descaling instructions, this is the machine for you. Cleansing tablets, filters, and milk system cleaning solution should all be purchased and used. Expenses are high, but they are required. It's my second ENA, and the procedure is similar to the one I used previously. If you're new to these machines, use a medium roast rather than a dark roast; otherwise, the unit will gum up and you'll have to send it back for service. I use Illy's Whole Bean Coffee, Medium Roast. The drip tray fills up quickly, but the unit will prompt you to empty it. If that sounds like a lot of trips to the sink, opt for a model with a larger capacity. For milk, the froth Drinks with milk are good, but the milk frother must be cleaned on a daily basis. Non- The best froth comes from fat milk, but I'll also use whole milk because it has a richer flavor. You might think you don't have time to go through all of the steps to keep the ENA Micro 90 in good shape if you work with pod coffee machines. If that's the case, a home pod machine might be a better option.

Honestly, for the price, a Breville is far more worth it, as it produces 500 times more flavor with a fraction of the hassle
3/5

br>I've had this machine for 5 months and have had numerous issues. When I contacted Jura, I was met with a hostile attitude from a supervisor who stated that if I can't fix it, I'll trash it. I had no issues with my Breville and will buy another one because self-taping and grinding is far easier than disabling and or paying to mail it back in just to use the Jura. Definitely not worth the trouble or the high price!.

As if you had your very own robot barista! I used to take capsules at home, but after a while it became a bit restrictive
5/5

To begin with, you will have the opportunity to sample various flavors. I used to prefer dark roasts, but this Jura brings out the full range of medium and espresso roast flavors. Dark roasts can be compared to blunt instruments. The milk is extremely warm, light, and finely frothed. The difference between this and milk from a separate forther can be felt/tasted. br>br>It's a small machine. On my counter, it looks great. It would be nice if it had a larger water tank and a larger water tray. I have the ability to make four. Before I have to refill the tank and empty the tray after 5 days of double 1oz espressos, I have to refill the tank and empty the tray. I can make two lattes if I make them in the morning. I can only drink two lattes per day for three days before I have to refill and empty my cup. That means you're doing it on alternate days. It's fantastic. I rinse the milk nozzle assembly every day to keep the milk from tasting funky and to keep it clean, it uses a lot of water to flush the milk system every time. Every week, I thoroughly clean the milking system. Yes, it's a bit of a rite of passage, but it's well worth it for me. Every day, I eagerly anticipate my lattes!.

coffee machine that works on its own much quieter), as well as the PEP extraction procedure. Jura was also the manufacturer of both of our previous machines. We've been together for a while. users who have spent some time coffee drinkers in large quantities I believe it was about 12 years ago that we purchased our first machine. Before sending the previous machines in for repair/refurbishment, we usually get around 20,000 to 25,000 shots (this is a good program because it only costs about $270 including shipping both ways). The Micro 90 machine also has a small footprint, which I like. Compared to our previous two machines, this one is a lot smaller. By the way, both of them are still making coffee in the family. By now, the oldest machine has most likely shot over 50,000 times! Jura has a lot of satisfied customers.
