I'll admit that I'm a coffee connoisseur, but I wanted to learn how to make a good latte at home. It's very user-friendly, and the instructions were simple to understand. It produces a good, strong espresso that I can drink straight or use in baking. The milk steamer is one of my favorites. It's a stretch to call my coffee a latte if I use regular milk in it. The steamed milk is just the right temperature to keep my coffee warm while also foaming up nicely. It's all about the texture now. I'm blown away by it, especially given the price.
If you only have 15 minutes to get everything done, this method works well. In the mornings, I needed something fast. After 15 years as a barista, I am well-versed in how to use almost any espresso machine; however, the handle was so difficult to lock in quickly that I had to hold onto the base, which took too long and I couldn't do it one-handed. My already early call time of 5 a. m. is made even more frustrating by the fact that I am left-handed. That, and the fact that you have to keep filling it with water for each function (pour, steam, etc. ) I could see how it would be great for a latte here and there if you have time, but not if you are looking for something quick.
I was never able to put it to use. Everything appeared to be in order when I opened the package, but when I opened the water compartment, there was a lot of moisture and a white substance on the walls. To be honest, it's pretty disgusting. I'm not sure if I got a returned item, but I've never had that happen before with an espresso machine. I'm glad I double-checked everything before putting this to use.
The item is not new; it has been used, returned, and then shipped to me without being inspected. It arrived with a broken carafe glass, was filthy, and had not been sealed properly. It's the second time I've done it. I purchased the first one two years ago from a different seller, and it is still in excellent condition. It brews a cup of coffee in under two minutes. 3 min. As a result, the finished product is satisfactory. Five stars, but only one star for the seller.
This one appealed to me because of the positive reviews. It's a great espresso machine, and the coffee tastes fantastic. It's a perfect solution. This espresso machine is something I would highly recommend.
I froth it with it as well, and it's fantastic.
Since I make Iced Caramel Macchiato, I haven't used the steam function yet, but I'm planning to do so soon. It's so simple to make espresso! I even bought one for my father, who has been hankering after a fancy hot beverage he had in Italy.
I should have known better than to compare their technology to this espresso machine. br>br>This espresso machine works well, but the water requirements and other instructions are a bit confusing. The instructions didn't specify that you should measure your water levels with the glass jar provided. The only instruction is to "fill the tank with water. " If there is too much water in the wand, it will leak water (but not hot water). You won't get enough espresso or the wand won't start frothing if there isn't enough water. I wish it came with a frothing tin. br>br>I wish it came with a frothing tin. If you're going to buy one, go for the smallest size. The wand is too small for a standard size, but beware: the instructions state that it will stop frothing on its own, but mine hasn't, so I have to toggle the dial to "pause" to turn the wand off before it overflows. Finally, the tools cannot be washed in a machine. On a lazy day, I decided to load the dishwasher with all of the necessary tools. The espresso filter's metal polish had come off. I had to scrub off all of the remaining polish before it was safe to use again. br>br>The reason I'm not giving it a lower rating is that it's a decent espresso machine, especially for the price. All it takes is a little bit of trial and error. Using trial-and-error and common sense, they were able to work around their ambiguous instructions. This product could benefit from a revision of the instructions as well as a different way of measuring the amount of espresso you can put in your latte/cappuccino than "2-cups. " Instead of 1,2, or 3 shots of espresso, as in your neighborhood cafés, you'll get 4 cups.
