EC685
No, I do not believe that is true. The voltage on this machine is 220 volts, while the standard in the United States is 110 volts. 110/120 volts are available as options.
I bought the international version with 220 volts as a gift for my sister-in-law, and it was used and assembled with 110 volts parts. It was brand new when I bought it, but it was rusted and missing parts. It was necessary for us to return it.

It was too late to save by the time we realized the problem, so we got another one because the first one was too quiet. Simple to work with.
When this item was delivered, it was defective. It was more difficult to return or exchange items.
br>Had an EC701 for 14 years until it started leaking and I couldn't find parts to repair it. br>Just bought this from BBB and it's fine. Advantages: br>br> Easy to operate, programmable (the EC 701 was manual and required you to be present to stop the brewing), and a small footprint. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The filters are pressurized (what makes DeLonghi so special?). ) (while waiting for my non-pressurized filter)br>br>I grind my beans with an OXO burr grinder (which I love). br>br>After my first brew, I thought to myself, "Oh no, I've made a mistake. " I spent a lot of time reading reviews and watching videos on YouTube. The crema was mediocre at best. (EC 701 crema was always on point)br>After a few brews, I've got it down pat. br>br> I grind my beans on the fine area of the grinder dial between 2 and 3, and my first brew was on the 1 setting (finest) in the fine area and the grind setting. br>br>The crema and flavor improved after dialing in the grind and not tamping too much. br>br>As soon as my non-existent non-existent non-existent non-existent non-existent non-existent non-existent non-existent non-existent When the pressurized filter arrives, I'll make a change. br>br>After the warranty expires, I'll add the Rancilio steam wand (I don't steam much unless someone wants a cappuccino). br>br>So far, I haven't given it a five-star rating because I haven't seen how it performs with a non-non-non-non-non-non-non-non Filter that is under pressure. br>br>I'd buy it again, and any complaints about the machine not working (read the owner's manual) can be resolved by customer service.
For customers in the United States, we chose a European product. The electrical plug would not fit in a US socket because it was a European product. This country does not allow the use of this item.
The control panel is simple to use, has an efficient and elegant design, and is well-lit.
