Yes, it is possible. It's small enough to make two double shots or four single shots at a time, and it has a control knob that toggles between brew and steam. When you've completed your task, simply turn off the steam. If you're finished, turn it off.
The basket mounted above the carafe is removed with a flick of the wrist to allow for the filling of espresso ground coffee.
It definitely takes longer, but I'm not sure how much longer because I didn't time it. I don't use the strongest setting because the middle setting is perfect for me; however, it's a fantastic little machine!

The box had been opened multiple times. It had a very low value. I like to shop Amazon warehouse deals and I always read what might be wrong with it, and despite the fact that it came with a warehouse certified label, the machine I received was terrible. It was my first experience with a non-high-tech espresso machine. A long time ago, I worked as a barista. But after reading the instructions, I tried multiple times to make a simple shot of espresso so I could enjoy an americano but every time I tried I was 100% dis with a personal note stating that the machine was broken and requesting that it not be listed in warehouse deals again I'm hoping it was just one bad machine, but instead of buying another, I bought a French press. I still go to the Amazon warehouse because they have great deals most of the time!.
After reading other reviews, I decided to take a chance because the most recent ones didn't point out the same problems as the older ones - MISTAKE! In fact, it DOES LEAK - The cover's plastic ring frequently pops off and sticks to the water holder (it's simple to replace, but it's still annoying). ), but the cap doesn't stay on tightly even with this plastic ring properly in place. However, the worst aspect of this machine is that it does not froth the milk into a thick foam - I've tried both low and high steam settings, and no matter which I use, the froth isn't as thick as it has been with other (less expensive) espresso machines. When I was done giving this machine a fair chance (thinking it was me and I hadn't tried everything - After much deliberation, I decided to send it back. Unfortunately, my two-day return window had closed.
Coffee has a low caffeine content. After a few weeks, I had to return it. I was able to get the steamer to foam the milk for the first two times, but after that I was unable to get it to do so. Even on the strongest setting and after experimenting with different grinds, the espresso was weak from the start. I'm willing to pay a little more for a machine that actually functions.
This machine worked fine at first, with no issues; however, six months later, it is no longer working and will not brew. br>I paid $60 for it. 00 for this machine, which I believe is still operational. br>Having owned a number of espresso machines, this one is by far the worst.
It's a great machine, especially for the price, and it doesn't appear to be used, despite the fact that it was advertised as such.
This is my second attempt to build a functional machine. The lid was not tightly fitted in both attempts, allowing steam to escape and not pass through the machine; disappointed, I contacted the company, who is sending a new lid. That might work, but I'm not sure. It shouldn't be too difficult to design a machine with a working lis system.
Returning for a refund was necessary. There were parts missing and the package was damaged when it arrived. I have a feeling it was delivered in this condition, but I can't prove it.
Exceptional investment.
