A month or two ago, my first frothing pump stopped working (it lost all its pressure) and it wasn't able to froth anymore. I purchased a second one because it was working for a month or two but after that it stopped working. immediately went out and bought another one (same brand, different model) for my father for Christmas, thinking that it must have been a fluke. The espresso holder did not lock effectively, causing it to leak, so he had to return it. The night before he told me that, I had bought another battery for myself (at double the price!) thinking mine was simply defective. It is however now starting to feel unreliable after only a week or so. Now, the Capresso company is having problems with THREE machines within a matter of weeks. It's such a shame, because the first one seemed great at the time and I thought I was getting a fantastic deal, but after experiencing problems with all three within weeks after buying, I can only conclude that Capresso has more serious issues relating to quality and manufacturing. It seems like they are not going to last very long at all, just like so many of the things you buy today.

I had a few problems, too, so I removed the rubber tip and picked up the inside tip of the metal pipe - I found that it was not working well. I wanted to give this product more stars, but due to problems I encountered with the steam knob, both on my original purchase, its knob stripped out within 6 months, and on the replacement machine, its knob stripped out after 10 months of use, I cannot do so. There are times when the machine makes fantastic espresso, but then it does not. The shipping charge for returning the first machine to be replaced was $54. Although the manufacturers sent me a replacement, it has the same problem, and even though the second one is still under warranty, I will not pay that kind of shipping a second time. I will be looking for another brand replacement and hope this review helps someone else avoid the same experience.
