Questions & Answers
I believe the press could be transported if it was kept upright and not jostled. Although the lid can be turned to keep the spout closed, it does not provide a secure seal.
It's not something I'd advise you to do. It's possible, however, that it will damage the thermal seal and cause the system to leak. You do so at your own risk if you choose to do so.

I purchased this coffee press to replace our drip coffee machine, and I read most of the reviews before purchasing this large stainless steel press, but I am disappointed by a few things I discovered that are very concerning. br>First, the inside spout has some discoloration; it appears to be impurities in the metal, or it could be that the spout was not properly buffed during the polishing process; either way, I wasn't going to use this press until I knew what this was; I've never seen stainless steel look this way when it's supposed to be used as a food product. br>Next, I noticed that the lid was a little too loose; it can There's also a deep scratch near the bottom near the printed logo, which could indicate mishandling or previous purchase. Unfortunately, I had to return the item, and I will be purchasing another from a different company.
Others had mentioned that it wasn't quite 50 ounces. We received a black pot instead of a silver pot because the wrong color was shipped, but my wife says it's fine. The product appears to be of excellent quality! Most importantly, it makes a great cup of coffee, and we use it instead of an electric Drip with an auto timer. We made it very easy to get that first cup of coffee brewed as soon as possible by having everything ready in the morning and only needing to boil the pot of water.
The large silver French press (50 ounces) was my choice. I looked for alternatives after breaking yet another glass french press, and I'm glad I did! It's made of stainless steel and is very sturdy. Because of the glass, the stainless steel appears cleaner and more modern. I'm pleased with the product's durability; I fill it with 1/2 cup of coffee grounds and get more than 6 cups of coffee.
This took the place of a chipped glass press and another metal press that was constantly clogging. Although the coating will not chip, it will wash off after daily dishwasher trips. Aside from that, I don't have any complaints. It's great how it completely presses down. Because the grounds are relatively dry, more drink spills and cleaning is easier.
I have never owned a better french press. After my glass one leaked despite not being mistreated, I decided to go with steel for this one. This one has the best filter I've ever used, and it's also incredibly simple to clean. If you want to make three things at once, this is a great option. At the same time, there are five cups! It also stays hotter for a longer period of time than the glass models I've tried.
I recently developed an obsession with cacao consumption, which necessitated my learning of the ancient art of the French press. The Cacao company kindly provided me with a 24oz glass french press, which was clearly adequate to nurture my budding Cacao obsession, but once it had taken hold, I needed a larger French Press to keep the "drink of the gods" warm until I could consume it all. This 50-ounce stainless steel french press is easier to use and clean, and it keeps the Cacoa warm long enough for me to enjoy all 50 ounces while it's still hot. It's hard for me to put into words how pleased I am with this purchase. It was well worth the money; in fact, now that I've purchased it and seen how good it is, I'd gladly pay more. Please give Cacao a try if you haven't already. Crio Bru (Nicaraguan blend) is my personal favorite, but Amazon has a wide selection of high-quality brands. Purchase this French Press as soon as possible!.
Sturdy. Getting the grounds out is difficult. br>Coffee does not stay warm in this container. I had hoped it would take the place of our thermos carafe, but it didn't! br>In general. eh. I'm a little let down.
It keeps the coffee hot for a long time, which is a great feature. Cleaning is a breeze. Because stainless steel is brittle, it's a good choice. This is a good size pot for a large mug for four or more people. Love it.
