Questions & Answers

What is the maximum number of cups it can make? Thanks so much?

I am able to use it for most of my 1 litre pourover kettle, so I'd say it's near 800 millilitres is what I would say. 27 ounces is about how much it weighs. What does that mean for you? The mugs are about 3 to 4 inches high. It is official in the coffee world that a "cup" equals around five ounces.

Does it have a large enough opening so that you can reach in and clean it?

Thank you for your interest in B&ampA, we look forward to hearing from you It may take a little while for your B Comforts Drip Decanter to arrive. If one rinses out after each use then there should not need to be any cleaning required. However, I'm not exactly sure what size the opening would be. It would also depend on the size of one's hand. Using a bottle brush to clean the bottle if necessary is always an option. This should help you get a better idea of how to purchase a Once again, I thank you for your support. A & B

Is it made in a certain place?

*Hario was founded in Japan, their coffee products are highly recommended, and their products are made in Japan

Is it possible to use melitta No. 2 filters with this product?

If you really want to use this decanter, then you should only use a filter A drip is quite slow compared to other methods. It combines the decanter design with both the pointed filter AND the design of the filter to achieve a clean, quick Any paper filter will work just as well (although it won't be as effective).

I am impressed by this
5/5

It is my first Hario and I just received it Although I am by no means a coffee snob, I have to say that this device just made the best cup of coffee I have ever had outside of a high end fancy coffee shop. Taking tips from the pros is a very good opportunity. I was able to find that near perfect cup on my third attempt, but it takes a lot of practice. The cool thing about these pour-over brewers is that your perfect cup will not necessarily be my perfect cup, so you can figure out which is your perfect cup. Don't judge a situation too soon. Give it at least a few tries. In my first cup, I ground the beans so they would fit into a normal auto drip maker (if you were thinking of There was no problem with the water flowing through, and I had I hate it. To grind the second cup of beans, I ground them to a fine or medium texture. It's better now. On my third cup, I poured it This is amazing! Anyhow, I am very happy with the results. This silicon collar looks very nice and I am likely to be able to brew four litres of coffee with it I can drink up to five cups at a time if I like. The space is ideal for me and my wife, as well as the occasional guest.

Making coffee with the French press is now my favorite thing to do! While I had been relying mostly on French Press and Aeropress to make coffee, I envisioned pour-overs as a new option We'd talked about it before, but had not gotten around to it for whatever reason
5/5

It is then that I saw James Hoffmann's V60 video that gave me the motivation to do it. In order to make good coffee, you need high quality, freshly roasted coffee that has been ground just prior to brewing, but with those two things plus a good but well executed technique, the V60 really lets the origin character come through compared to other methods. There is no doubt that this decanter that comes with the set is of the highest It's no wonder Haario has been known for their "Made in Japan" glass for decades and this is no exception. Plastic inserts have the best thermal retention, so I really like that the V60 is made of them. Despite the multiple shortcomings, I give it a 5 out of 5 rating. For the money, I think this is a fantastic product if it is used correctly. I docked a start for "easy to clean" because if you had bigger hands, a bottle brush would be the only way to clean it. It also gets one star for "Easy to use" because while getting a vaguely resembling cup of coffee is super easy, getting a great cut takes some time and attention. I highly recommend watching the videos posted by James Hoffmann and Scott Rao on YouTube.

Excellent pour over set / substitute for a Chemex model
4/5

I selected it because it cost less than the Chemex. So far, I have been happy with This coffee maker makes a great cup of coffee. This is an easy to clean carafe that also serves as a very nice container when the brewing is finished. There is a plastic Hario V60 filter funnel that is integrated into the carafe itself, which makes brewing easy. The material of the decanter itself makes me think that it can hold 500 mL of liquid, but since it is a large carafe, you probably could fit more liquid in it. I'd just like to let you know that this holds a size 02 filter and that it comes with a few bleached white 02 screens If you need to clean the handguard, you can easily remove and replace them. The silicone shape helps if you need to get your hands into the handguard. Several stars were docked from my rating because that one tends to lose heat By preheating all of the components with boiling water, I was able to overcome this problem. This is one of the strengths of the Chemex. I are assuming the heat transfer is very quick since the glass is so thin for the Hario decanter. I've also been disappointed with the accuracy of the spout. In the corners, it has the potential to dribble. Other than that, I find this system to be effective, and I like that pourovers can be made easy. With the pour over and V60 filters in mind, it is a great buy for you if you want to save some money and use pour over filters. A thicker carafe and a need to keep the coffee hotter for longer will allow you to do both. If you choose a Chemex or transfer your coffee to an insulated pitcher after brewing, then you will be able to keep the coffee hotter for longer.

This is awesome! own two Chemex'es (8 cups each), as well as one like this
5/5

Coffee makers like this one are a staple in my daily routine. Clean-up of the Decanter is much easier than that of the Chemex containers (I can reach my inside hand to wipe the inside), and the filter, in addition to being able to use it with the Decanter, is accessible to most coffee travel containers. This is a big plus!

This device can be used to prepare coffee either for 2 people at home, or coffee to take with you. Furthermore, the glass is solid (unlike the Hario Cold Brew It was my hope that I would be able to use the Cold brew container and not need to purchase a My standard coffee recipe calls for 35g of coffee to create 450mL of coffee for four people A cup of Intelligentsia coffee usually takes 5 minutes. It works like a charm.

Take your coffee game to the next level
5/5

Making coffee at home with this maker is a great idea. . . if you have only ever had drip coffee, or K cup or pod coffee, this will be a great improvement. There is an alternative to buying the Technivorm coffee maker that is much cheaper, but it will require some investigation. It is highly recommended that you watch James Hoffman's video and then other videos on how to use it. Another thing that it comes with is 30-day money back guarantee You do not need to buy additional filters with it. I did not count the number of filters, but there are 60. While you do need to grind finer than you would for a drip machine, it still works very well. The coffee is great, and since it doesn't have an aftertaste if you make it correctly and use good coffee you will get a great cup of coffee you never had before. You don't have to go to a coffee shop, and the price The first will do into the cup which is designed for just you. The second works well for those who are making for more than just themselves.

Weighs less than 1 kilogram and is tough to use
5/5

As a result of breaking my THIRD Chemex, I chose to try something completely As the decanter is made from heavier glass, it is less likely to be flipped over (or broken) as the Chemex is. A cup of coffee can fit in at least two places in this mug I will definitely drink three normal cups. Despite the fact that it comes with a plastic filter holder that fits in the top, I don't use it. There is no need to use an additional filter since the gold one can be used in the same spot.
