Glasses with a sketchy appearance. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the glass. First time I tried washing it, I broke it, cutting up my finger badly enough that I needed to go to the emergency room. This is just a very cheaply made piece of glass, so I didn't use excessive force on it.
A French press is the first device I have ever tried. Unlike traditional methods, I found it both easy and convenient to use and the taste was probably as good, if not better, than brewing coffee and tea using Due to the fact that I drink only one cup of coffee or tea a day, I purchased a French Press with one cup. It was bought partly on the basis of price and to a lesser extent on the basis of other customers' 'reviews'. The truth is, you cannot make an objective and honest review of a product whose price is I did not receive this item at a discounted price Unlike most reviews, I did not pay the advertised price on Amazon. * Therefore, this IS my unbiased opinion.
Both negatives are that while it is described as a single cup French press, I find that it can't hold the full amount. I sometimes need to add another 1/4 or 1/3 cup.
I also find that it is not very comfortable to hold. As a result of its narrow size, cleaning it is a bit of a chore. Although, the convenience and flavor of the coffee and tea result (both are positive) are less difficult the process. My plan is to get one that is a bit larger than the one I have.
As I washed this, I put it in my larger coffee mugs and used it. For the most part, I was able to rely on it because the size was perfect. When I was finished using it, I rinsed it out and put it in the As I gave the glass to my mother, I felt it crack as I put a sponge inside and went to do the dishes. My water was contaminated by glass fragments that fell from the break in the glass as I was pulling out the sponge. The item did not seem aggressive to me, and it broke far too easily for my tastes. The total cost of the coffee was about $20.
It is just me who drinks coffee in my house. Having to make coffee and throw out extra all the time not only made me mad, but my sister had one of these single serve coffee makers. The store I was at did not serve French Press coffee makers, so I went online and found one on Amazon. Having just received it this morning, I am using it to drink my first cup of coffee as I write this, and it is the perfect size.
I ordered it in a hurry thinking that I would get I am not happy with this cheap knock-off As a result, it is almost impossible to line up the grate where the liquid pours through with the spout. This means that you stand a good chance of spilling hot coffee all over the counter or maybe even on The first time I used it, it returned to its original state.
The item I purchased is exactly what I expected. It gives you great coffee without costing a lot or taking up much space. The glass feels very durable, and it won't break while making coffee. The 8oz cup holds 8oz of coffee. I use this at my desk for an 8oz cup of coffee It is what I do in how I make it - The ground coffee and two tablespoons - (8 oz. hot water at between 195 degrees and 200 degrees fahrenheit for best results)*- Into the press, put the coffee grinds - Make sure sufficient water is added to cover the grounds. - After 30 seconds, let it sit* The rest of the water should be added - The plunger and top of the cover are on the open position* - Allow to sit for an additional two and a half to three minutes - Descent will be slower*- The coffee should be poured into the cup immediately
You should grind the coffee beans on a coarse setting as you do with any french press. You want to let the coffee rest for a minute or two to let the sediment settle at the bottom of the cup and not drink the last bit of coffee as this is where all the sediment (excess grinds that didn't get caught by the plunger) will be located. My coffee press, cup, and plunger are very easy to clean, I rinse them when I am done drinking the coffee and wipe them out with a paper towel. In order to help the rest air dry for the next day, after the plunger is upside down, I place it on top of the press. This press can only make up to 8oz of coffee per press. As you can see from the picture, it is designed to make less than that. I consider this press to be very good for its price.
