Questions & Answers

Is there a monkey included? I believe the monkey will be required. ?

I have the older version of the game, which included the lemur. Though I'm disappointed that the lemur has been retired, I'm confident that the monkey will prove to be of great assistance.

Is the pot made out of plastic?

Yes. Plastic parts can be found on the lid and the strainer that is attached to the lid. The actual pot is 100% metal as well as well as well as%

Is there any plastic anywhere in it? I'd like to know even if it's just the tiniest bit. Please accept my sincere thanks. ?

To ensure a tight fit and the containment of coffee grounds, it has a rubber or plastic gasket around the outside edge of the screen press. It's all metal except for that.

Let's say you're frail and don't have any support. They are equally effective. We have two of these because we enjoy this type of coffee and the insulated carafe makes it even better. There isn't anything to be concerned about. However, one day we decided to clean them in our dishwasher on the top rack (normal cycle) to remove the oils that had built up over time from manually cleaning them. I'm guessing the lids are held together with some kind of cheap glue, because they've both separated and are now broken. We had to make do with cold coffee for a long time. You can still brew in this condition, but you'll have to manually put it together and align it before and during each brew; attempting to turn it from open to closed or vice versa will result in it spinning uselessly. As a result, you must decide whether to leave it open and allow it to cool or close it and risk spilling coffee every time you pour. br>And now for the really good part; I decided to treat myself and my spouse to a new lid as a gift, so I contacted customer service to find out how to get one. After two days, I received an email response that essentially flipped the bird at me. too bad. the issue you're having bye. br>As for us, we don't want to create waste just for the sake of convenience, so we won't be replacing the entire unit just yet, especially since it's completely unnecessary. simply sale us a %$ *ing lid! It's not as if we're expecting them to back up their product claims and hand it over to us for free. br>We are extremely dissatisfied with the waste and, even more so, with the company's response. br>Bodum products will no longer be available. We have a few of these. br>Bodum, what's up? I'll return the favor! (I'm pointing with my middle finger).

Plastic
3/5

It would be ideal if the strainer did not contain any plastic components.

Because of the silicone gasket, there are more plastic parts in contact with hot water than there are in the glass version, resulting in weaker coffee
3/5

While the Bodum Columbia Insulated French Press Coffee Maker Pot is attractive, it also falls short. I've been using glass French presses for more than a decade, and my favorite brand is Bodum, but I wanted to switch to a stainless steel container for two reasons. The first was to keep coffee warm on cold days when the glass one, even with the Bodum insulated cover, cooled down too quickly. The second step was to get rid of the plastic from the glass container. The Bodum Columbia Insulated French Press Coffee Maker Pot succeeds in the first but fails in the second. It doesn't even make a decent cup of coffee. br>br>The Bodum Columbia Insulated French Press Coffee Maker Pot has a plastic top rather than a steel one. While the glass version's plunger mechanism is metal with only a single plastic fastener, the steel version's plunger mechanism is almost entirely made of plastic. br>br>In comparison to the steel plunger used in the glass container, the silicone ring around the plunger traps coffee grinds in the plunger better. However, it is common for liquid to become trapped behind the plunger. In the glass version, I usually use 1 2/3 cup water, which yields slightly more than one coffee cup. The steel version produced less than one cup of coffee when the same amount of water was used. And that single cup of coffee was a shambles. I could get more coffee out by raising and lowering the plunger. As a result, the steel press is inefficient because it requires more water and ground coffee to produce the same amount of coffee as the glass version. As a result, there is less coffee in this version than in the glass version, and it is weaker. It wasn't a happy ending. br>br>On the whole, this French press is attractive and keeps coffee warm. However, it has a lot of plastic parts that come into contact with hot water, and it takes more coffee to make a cup of coffee at the same strength as the glass version. Overall, it's a letdown, and I've switched back to my glass Bodum French press.

Very appealing and well-designed made, but it doesn't improve my cup of coffee enough to justify the price, and it's way too small
3/5

This French press is in excellent condition. It's well-made and attractive, but it's far too small. I guess I expected it to be a little larger, but it only makes about 2 cups of coffee – I have to drink large cups of coffee. I bought it primarily in the hopes of keeping the coffee warm for longer, but it does not. I find that I reheat my coffee just as much as I did with my glass French press, which cost a lot less and held a lot more coffee. It's a lovely product that appears to be well-made. Although my old French press, which I bought on clearance at Target for four dollars and lasted me five years and is still in good working order, is made and sturdier than this one. I just needed something to keep my coffee warm for longer, so I went ahead and bought it. If you're not a fan of the design aesthetic, I wouldn't recommend spending this much money on it. It is truly beautiful, and you can tell it is of higher quality than my cheapie, but the end product is very similar – I will say that the screen filters the grounds more effectively than my cheapie, but that is the only difference I have noticed in my final cup of coffee- That, and I believe it is easier to clean than my other French presses because there are no encasements around the glass.

This is the one to get if you want to keep it hot
5/5

The mama-to-be is already a fan. We bought this big daddy for loose leaf tea because we had a smaller one for coffee. It is by far the best. What distinguishes Bodum from all other dual-player games? The lid of the stainless steel French Press pots is as follows: When Bodum's is in the "closed" position, the pot is completely sealed. Other pots we've tried don't have a lid at all- Open (to pour) and closed (to retain heat) positions are indicated by the top indicator. But, most importantly, when those inferior models are closed, they leave a significant gap, allowing the contents to lose heat much more quickly.
