Questions & Answers

The instructions state that it makes coffee concentrate that must be diluted with milk or water in order to make it drinkable. Is that correct?

You are right. In light of the strength of the coffee I use, I dilute it with a little water or half-and-half. My favorite method of grinding espresso is to purchase the roast at Starbucks then coarse ground it at home. There is a little more strength in this

For this recipe, is it necessary to have coarse ground coffee beans or is it possible to use a small can of coffee from the grocery store?

I have tried both regular and coarse ground, and I much prefer the coarser one. Cold brew coffee made with regular coffee was very thick. This is what mud looks like. As I own a coffee grinder, I buy whole bean coffee if we are making cold brew in the summer months.

The basic question is how long is it going to ?

In my case, I brew mine in 24 hours Typically, it takes 72 hours, though there's not much difference between that and 48 hours. However, you should definitely pour no less than 12 cups, unless you don't mind a regular coffee taste

How do I know whether it comes with the high-level black stand that I see in the picture? There has been a conflict of answers on this issue in the past. ?

Thanks for visiting. My sincere thanks go out to you for your The stand is not included in the package, but I believe you can buy it

Stainless Steel Cold Brew Coffee Maker by KitchenAid KCM4212SX
5/5

It has recently arrived in perfect condition as far as I could tell, as I ordered a refurbished KitchenAid KCM4212SX for considerably less money. I once talked with a representative from Amazon who said that new products are still warranted by Amazon, and that most times only the packaging is There was an excellent condition on this unit since it had been factory refurbished. I am a retired mechanical engineer, so I am able to truly appreciate how ergonomics go into this. It's also easy to use and has a great design. It is likely that I'll make cold brew tea more often than not, while my wife will like to make cold brew coffee as well. It is evident that the ratio of tea leaves to concentrate is greater than that of coffee, but it is still Today, I removed the unit from its case completely to wash it and get a better sense of its workings. The product is very easy to operate and is of excellent quality and weight. I believe some thought must have gone into designing it. As well as holding the drain, the plastic wrench can also be used as a nut for the drain and, after the nut is removed along with the hose, it has a wrench at the other end to fit the valve nut. In addition to its sturdy construction, I find the valve to be of high quality. Almost a year ago, I did my own research on the chemistry behind cold brewing, and I urge you to If you have never tried cold brew, you need to try it. Make sure you use filtered water and that you heat the water enough to dissolve your sugar so that it can go into solution before you actually use it. When it gets too hot, you can then cool it down with ice that was made from the filtered water. The ratios alone will tell you how you should like it. However, you would only do that if you knew exactly how you would like it. Approximately 31 for the coffee concentrate to the tea leaves and 71 for the leaves to the coffee concentrate, as I recall. As soon as you become comfortable using the device, I think you will always have your focus in your hands. According to the unit, the amounts are given in weight. The weight can be estimated using the line It is fortunate for us to have very nice scales at high end. In more and more recipes, I find that the grams of ingredients are specified by weight. Whether you make one or the other, I think the lines will be sufficient once you make some batches of each.

Don't waste your time worrying about it, just buy it
5/5

It is my first time writing a review I have been with Amazon for over 7 years now My need for this product was so great that I had to have it. It feels very solid and looks better in person than in these photos (something that almost never happens), and I love the fact that it is made of kitchen aid. I picked this product because I have an interest in cold brew, love the Kitchen Aid brand, and loved the design of it. Open the box, and you can tell that this is just good quality. If you use cold water in your refrigerator or on the counter at room temperature (and I used cold water + the fridge), then the tea will brew for 12 to 24 hours (the longer you brew it, the stronger and more bitter it will be) 15 hours seemed to be the ideal time frame for me. Once the filter thing is removed, you can start drinking the Since I prefer it black, I fill my cup (which is already filled with ice) one third up with the brewed coffee concentrate, then fill the remaining third with water. I then stir and enjoy my coffee. I love how well it fits on the shelf of the fridge, as if it was meant to be there. It is easy to clean, looks great, and holds a large amount of coffee in a small space. In case you are considering buying this, stop thinking about it and go for it instead. Since the discovery of coffee beans, this is the most exciting thing to happen to coffee lovers.

In the beginning, I was pleased with it
3/5

It didn't stop leaking, but I couldn't get it to stop. It has made a mess of my refrigerator far too many times when I've used Teflon tape and a basin wrench. There is no other option, but to toss it in the trash.

I think you did pretty well
4/5

There was no expectation for me to love this, but it's okay. While I like it, it doesn't truly captivate me. There are several things I'm not happy about 1 -

. It is necessary to empty the remaining coffee into another container to make more when it is running low. I know it's simple, but I did not experience this problem with my old cold brew maker. Please note "2. When the nozzle is pressed down, it Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface after use and place something in your fridge to absorb any spills. This is a kind of annoyance. 1. 2. 3. The ground coffee will still be powdery, no matter how finely you grind it. You can end up with very fine grains of coffee in your cup because those powdery grounds pass through the strainer. The effects are not detectable through the mouth or anything like that, but they are just visual to me and it's not something I'm The truth is that a batch's end is usually the last to be read. There are a few things I like about this item I like the I apologize to any pretentious coffee lovers who read this and scoff! The presentation is beautiful and it fits nicely in the refrigerator. It's possible I would buy it again if I were able to go back in time and buy it again. I previously had an OXO brand cold brewer. The fact that we no longer have to keep with that big ugly plastic thing on our counter all the time is a blessing in disguise.
