Then fill in the blanks. The top of the filter should be left exposed by an inch or so. The filter is filled with coarse (best grind) coffee of your choice. The jar is filled with water, the filter is put in the jar, the lid is secured, and the jar is left for 24 hours. Remove the filter and start a new one with the remaining coffee. As I have done for several months, this is the way I do things. YES, you don't want to shake it while it's brewing. This is what I've been waiting for.
In fact, we now sell the filters separately. Amazon offers the option of selecting only the filter at the bottom of our product listings.
There will still be a small amount of dust sediment on the bottom of your grain mill even with a great bean grinder and a course grind. This system is still one of my favorites because it is so convenient and easy to use. I know some people would just throw out the last bit, but I personally couldn't bear to discard any of my cold tea, so I poured the last few ounces through a coffee filter. There would be no way to catch all of the dust with a filter system.

This system is perfect for brewing cold brew. It's really nice to have this system at your disposal. In the past, I used the Ronco cold brew system which is identical to the Toddy cold brew system, but the latter is less expensive. In addition to being twice as efficient as my old system in terms of clean up, I no longer need to buy replacement stoppers or filters because the County Line Kitchen Cold Brew system is so easy to operate! I've experienced a significant reduction in drain time compared to my Toddy system, and it is super It only takes a few seconds to remove the wire filter. As the mesh was too wide, I was worried that it would leave a residue at the bottom of the cold brew that I did not wish to see. There is no truth in this statement. Using the cold brew system, I found that it tasted just as pleasant as it did with the Toddy system and created a clear, pleasant coffee drink. A noteworthy feature of this system is the sturdy jar with which it comes packaged. My experience includes using the following as well.
There was a lot of effort and hassle for a very small amount It appears that my problem with cold brew has been resolved. It is possible to make coffee using a $5 nutbag and a dumb plastic pitcher This is easy and quick- I use a small pitcher with a removable top
Creating cold brew in a batch You may use any kind of ground coffee in the bag suspended over the pitcher, then fill it 3/4 full of room temperature water. Allowing water to run over the coffee in the nut bag top whether it has been filtered or not. The top/lid of the pitcher should keep the bag in place as you let the coffee brew for 8 hours at room temperature then refrigerate overnight with the nut bag still in place. You should pull out the nut milk bag the next day but do not squeeze it too hard because that can cause over extraction and bitterness. This is a great method for making cold brew coffee without straining, pouring or waiting, and with virtually no risk of spilling! The amount of cold brew coffee you get with this contraption that County Line Kitchen sells for over five times what you get using this newer, more affordable method.
This filter is very fine and sturdy so I don't get any coffee grounds or bits when I make Jars like this one are very nice. Although I was looking to save some money by buying both a filter and jar separately, all of the poor reviews about the Ball jars (also poor ratings) and none about this one breaking after just a few uses won me over. I'm glad I chose this one after all. A silicone ring is attached to the top of the mesh to help it Upon finishing the brewing process, remove the filter, and then you'll need to use a silicone ring. There were instructions to fill the filter with grounds so that they reached about an inch from the top (about 2 cups), which is a lot since the jar is just 8 cups, but since this is a concentrate it is useful. When you're ready to drink your coffee, you may want to dilute it with water or milk. In that case, it would be better to use fewer.
It is, without a doubt, the best cold brew kit I have ever used. I have never seen a micro filter mesh that is as rugged and easy to clean as this one. It was my first time brewing with this kit. I really enjoyed it. In order to ensure the filter drained before dumping the grounds, I stacked a mesh lid accessory for canning jars on top of the filter, which would enable it to drain into the jar and dry the grounds further. Additionally, I wish I could give it a 5 star rating not only because it's super easy to clean and is so simple to assemble, but also because I can easily buy more jars from Amazon, as well as use my existing accessories for canning jars with it. I had become frustrated with cold brew options that required bulky or large pitchers that made too much for the average person to handle because the filters were too short to reach the bottom where the water was, and you had to fill them to the max extent to get a decent cup of coffee. In addition, I did not like the other products since they had a pour spout you could not completely close, which allowed for fridge odors and coffee oxidation. The two problems can be solved with this method. Having a deep filter makes it easy to make smaller or extra strong batches as well as the ability to fully seal the jar until I am ready to drink it. These are so good that I purchased a few more to give.
The coffee is amazing, and I will never use a normal coffee maker again. It is incredibly easy to make coffee with this setup. It can be a little difficult to remove the cap at times, which is the only reason why I didn't give five stars. Although I am not usually a difficult jar opener, I have a difficult time opening this one. I believe the rubber seal is the problem. My experience has been that it gets easier to use if you leave it out for a little while. As an additional tip, I felt a bit frivolous and wasteful using so many grounds of However, I still feel as if I am using more grinds for less coffee even though it is concentrated To make a second batch with the same grind, I transferred the concentrate into a new jar and added more water. doesn't come out as concentrated as it used to. The batch that I got was still really good. I was thrilled because I am a thrifty person.
