There's a good chance that my stomach will feel uncomfortable after drinking it. I wouldn't have it any other way! It was the first time I actually went along with all the hype about something ("cold brew coffee") and it proved I love drinking coffee again now that it tastes better, is healthier for my stomach, and my stomach is much happier! I am amazed! This is actually the second one I bought, as I bought the third one to give to my best friend, who is fond of cold coffee. As an example, he usually brews coffee and keeps it in the fridge for a day or two, but now he can do the same and get an even BETTER tasting The fact that I am happy is obvious! I should mention that this thing is easy to clean. That is an incredible coffee maker and when it comes to cleaning a brewing device, I have never seen one that is so quick to clean. Being that coffee usually stays inside for a couple of days, it should be pretty tough to clean. Not at all! With just a little running water, this bowl is as clean as a whistle! This is a great book! Thank you BTäT for making such an excellent coffee maker.

I like the way it looks. Good, if you plan on drinking a lot or if more than one person will be consuming the iced coffee. I would buy the 48oz if you plan to drink it all at once or if there will be other people drinking it too. About 3 1/2 cups of water fit into the 32 ounce container. The ground coffee would spill over the filter in order to get exactly 32 oz with 1/2 cup grounds.

There is no need to worry about spills with this pitcher because it's small and compact. The small refrigerator in my office is perfectly sized for it. There is, however, no spout at all, the opening is tiny, and it is practically unnoticeable. If you attempt to pour out the coffee without spilling it all over the ground, you're going to end up with black spots Trying to pour something from a simple glass is like trying to pour water out of a thimble. There is a rubber ring on the lid to keep liquid from leaking, but it also prevents you from pouring it out. It is very difficult to pour cold brew daily because the lid needs to be taken off every time.
The brewing basket and overall size are fine, but I do not recommend this product due to the huge mess you inevitably make when pouring yourself a cup.

It is perfect for me when I use a quarter cup of medium grind regular coffee and two quarter cups of Swiss water process decaf with 32 ounces of water. I prefer a strong, yet not overwhelming strength since I only like to add one or two ice cubes to my cocktails. I add a full cup of grounds if I want to add more ice. There is very little sediment leaking through. It is wonderful to have this opportunity. Also, it does not include any plastic parts, and it fits easily on a All parts of the filter and filter housing can be easily hand washed. The product description on Amazon indicates that it can be washed in the dishwasher. However, I have not used my dishwasher to clean the lid or filter. In this "1 quart" coffee maker, there is displacer between the filter and coffee grounds, so only 3 cups of coffee are made. Coffee brewed in cold brew for 5 cups. Although the carafe can hold 32 oz without the filter and grounds, I believe its 1 quart claim is misleading. If you are expecting a 1 quart yield, the 1. 75 carafe might be a better choice. It is available in a 5 quart size, although because cold brew is more concentrated, 28 ounces should last you several days, depending on how you want to drink I've been having good coffee from it, but the bottom of the carafe has sludge despite the coarsely ground beans being used. As soon as I finish cold brewing, I rinse out the coffee with water after pouring it through a finer wire mesh sieve to remove sludge. Followed by another rinse to remove any coffee particles left behind, I pour the coffee back into the carafe.

The only problem I had with it was that I kept it in poor shape. I haven't had any problems using it or maintaining it. There is a great seal on the lid. There is a nice lip on the glass that makes pouring easy. It was a good deal and the coffee was great!


I have revised my earlier review to give it a 5 star rating. Initially, I thought the metal handle had broken off of the filter cup. I have since discovered that there are two small pinholes and that it can be snapped into place again. I am not sure how it dislodged but it is working again, so that is all that matters.

My first impression was to love the sleek, all glass look, but I soon realized I preferred something not so fragile (I bought a replacement with a In addition to the lid, it takes a long time The time I spent waiting for my glass to fill up turned into a bit of a daydream. I could only speed it up if I removed EVERYTHING from the tank, including the lid and filter. For me, I cannot leave both on. My new pitcher can be left on without any issues. This new one might satisfy some, but it wasn't the right fit.

In general, the appearance and feel of the device are very solid. I had no problems cleaning it after use, even the filter which I thought would have little particles of coffee stuck Since I do not have a dishwasher, everything has to be washed by hand. Only when there is coffee inside the filter do the markings on the glass indicate how much water it holds. In other words, its capacity is actually 5 cups instead of There is only one concern I have, which is that the filter seems Perhaps that is by design, perhaps it helps the brewing process in some way. The answer to this question is unknown. The break will be very sad for me if it is too early. It can be ground in a french press with no problem. It did not get to my cup because the larger particles weren't big enough. While the superfine ones (which cannot really be filtered) settled at the bottom and stayed there when I poured out the coffee into a mason jar (so that I could brew another batch), the coarse ones stayed on top.
