Copper tubing with a 3/8-inch OD is used to construct this premium 50-foot chiller.

3/8-inch vinyl tubing, 2 x 4-foot lengths

Hose clamps made of stainless steel.

Female garden hose fitting (made in the USA) with heavy-duty lead-free construction.

Coils with a diameter of 25 inches and a length of 13 inches are available. The inlet and outlet heights are both 5 inches.

Each time you use a hose clamp, make sure it doesn't leak. When the hose clamps are tightened while the vinyl tubing is still warm, a tight, leak-free seal is created.

Please accept my apologies; I have no idea. This was purchased for my son as a present. He did mention that it was taller than the one he had borrowed, but that was about it.

I couldn't make up my mind. There's no way it'll cool my wort so quickly. No way. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes I wasn't keen on the idea of flushing so much water down the toilet (city water, after all). I devised a method of recirculating it by putting it in an ice bath. My setup included a pump (bought new for this purpose), a Rubbermaid storage tote, and 50 pounds of ice. br>br>Well, I'll be damned if that immersion chiller didn't get a full 5 gallon boil down to pitching temperature in under 18 minutes. br>br>The only thing I'd really mention is to wash it before use. Mine was still dripping with oil (presumably from the lubricant used to feed the copper through the coil machine).
