It doesn't make sense to me why we shouldn't. The bag is just more difficult to clean afterward. Those are what I use to strain Jamaican tea and they are good.

This is a good filter bag, however note that there are two 18"x16" bags contained in this pack

When I ordered two of the Bellamei Brew Bags, I received two different bags, however they were both the same size. Please take notice of the fact that I originally did not see this in the product description. In regards to the larger brew grain filter bags, they worked well, providing a good flow of brew grains, reducing the time it took to press significantly from the old cotton/cloth style bag while still producing a good quality.

The mesh bag is fine enough that I can steep dye plant materials in it in a large pot with no worry of the contents catching on the wool yarns that I am dying. In addition, it is ideal for straining homemade soybean milk for use in dyeing katazome resists. They have been found to be useful in sifting cooked fruits for indigo.

Thus, as long as you are not trying to put them in any of the typical openings for bottles, they will work. However, due to the clip, string, and thick neck, it can be difficult. So you won't be using them in anything other than a wide mouth carboy.

The 12 qt size is great for this little There are a lot of bags There are no holes in the 2 pack, but the smaller size fits perfectly in a 12 qt stockpot

They are not as big as you thought. My pot was too big for the 5 gallon bags. It was too small for the small bag, so I used the larger one. Make sure the dimensions of your pot are correct before placing your.
