The same question has been raised with Jillmo, the brew bag supplier, but this far no response has been received. I have found, however, that I am able to get a finer sift using the Jillmo bag in sifting wet ground maize, as it appears to be finer than the fine sift usually used in wheat flour processing. Yet Jillmo should be the one to answer this.

It did start to stretch out at the seam. The stitch was not broken, but it held. Apparently, these bags can be rolled over the top of a large pot after they've been put up into it. These bags didn't have a great deal of loose threads that would wrap around the spoon, like other bags. Along the seams, the clothing looks very clean. It has not yet been tested, but I believe they will work well.
It was so easy to sew them, cut them in half, and get a much better fit for my 5 gallon container even though they were bigger than I thought. My wine was kept in a big box in case my wines were fantastic! The next time I make it I'll double it!.
I like the quality of this product, the mesh is very fine and it clogs fairly easily.
You can mash grains in these bags. The 10 gallon water cooler fits perfectly with this. One bag was used twice, it cleans well which makes it good to reuse.
