Questions & Answers

Have you ever had a problem with the ratchet mechanism not working properly?

So far, I have used it about 10 times (making around 4 dozen cookies each time) and I have been pleased with the results. The only way I wash it is by hand and then let it air dry.

What is causing the dough to pop apart in the press?

It was only spritz cookie recipe I made with the Rikon Cookie Press. As long as everything was screwed on tightly, everything worked fine. This dough had been sitting at room temperature for some time.

Are there any Indian snacks that it can be used for, like muruku/chakali and Idiyapam?

This is true, according to me

Can you tell me how easy this cookie press is to use i.e. Having arthritis in her hands is a problem for my mother. Thanks a lot?

The only downside is that it takes a toll on your fingers when used for a while. I have small, skinny fingers and they can be a bit achy at times. If your mom wants to make sure your mom's press is 100% functional, I recommend an electric press. It is my hope that this

There have been six different cookie presses I have tested
3/5

There have been six different cookie presses I have tested. The rating for each is as follows 1 .
Kit to press and bake cookies with silicone mat and silicone press Five out of ten The tube is full of dough, and the piston is poorly built and stainless steel cannot be used. 3.
The Wilton Comfort Grip Cookie Press features a rubber grip for a comfortable grip A 9. 10 out of 10. The grip is nice, the piston is great, the see-through glass is also great The cylinder is accessed through the hole. The third part. This NuVita Cookie Press Set enables you to make a range of cookies A number between 1 and 10 Plastic holds the template but the tube is very small, so the plastic come off in an instant. The fourth paragraph. The Kuhn Rikon Clear Cookie Press is produced by Kuhn Rikon. The grade is six out of ten I like the clear tube, but it seems cheaply made to me. This is *br. 5. With this Multipurpose Stainless Steel Cookie Press and Piping Gun Decorating Kit from Westmark Germany, you'll be able to decorate many types of cookies. A score of four out of ten This type of cable looks and feels the same as #4, but has a metal tube instead. Quite a bit of dough is left under the template inside the press. The sixth point. A Good Grip Cookie Press with Stainless Steel Disks and a Storage Case from Oxo 8. 10 out of 10 The grip is nice, the piston is great, the see-through glass is also great The cylinder is accessed through the hole. I really like the way the video was Although I have no idea why, I found it hard to press out the butterfly and the flower.

The toy is almost complete
4/5

You may find this cookie press to be the right fit if you're looking for something that makes small batches of tiny cookies fairly well. A cookie will be delivered every time the handle is squeezed because of its ratchet design. It is much easier to use than a screwdriver or friction plunger. It's small, but it's still there! I found it very hard to fill (and clean) the plastic barrel, and I imagine that it likely won't take long for the threads where the caps attach to the barrel to fail. I've found that the recipes yielded twice as many cookies as they said they would, at least with the shapes I've used. The only problem with this is that one squeeze = one cookie, so there is no way to adjust the size. Overall, I do not regret this purchase, but I wish it were available in a larger, more sturdy.

Suitable for the job
5/5

A few months ago, I went online to look for a replacement for my old cookie press. So far, I have not been disappointed, and this seemed to be the best intersection of functionality and affordability. It is simple to use the press, and the batter is uniform and perfectly shaped except for the first few cookies. The cookies have always been crisp and buttery. I've only tried a couple of the recipes so far however, they are always delicious. I still have the disks from my old press, so this particular model only came with 12 disks, which is fewer than some of the other models - but since I still have the disks from my old press, I didn't really have a problem Although it might be ideal for people who like a lot of pattern options. The patterns included some standard ones, but there was also a camel and a bat (though not the one shown here), which I have never seen before, so that's been interesting.

You should use a nonstick pan if you are using this press
5/5

I have used a cookie press a few times before, but I seldom use them nowadays, so each time feels like the first time.
At first, it didn't work because the dough didn't stick to the parchment paper or to the pan. When I bake cookies on a sheet that is too large for my sink, I have a short load of dishes I always end up with water all over! My next step was to try them on the back of one sheet that was not coated with a non-stick coating Materials that stick to each other. Worked like a charm! It was a good solution. We were able to get just the right amount of dough that would fit in a serving size cookie. As a result, they looked like what the disc would make them look like. While they did not always retain their shapes once baked, that had more to do with the dough than it did It's not difficult to clean because the whole thing comes apart. I just put everything in the bowl I used to mix up the dough, added a little dish soap, filled the bowl with very warm water, sponged it all down, and it was clean as a whistle! The pieces were all washed.

Work well, but are not as well built as they should be
4/5

I like the Kuhn cookie press because it makes perfect little cookies, but it's a bit inefficient in terms of Basically, the press consists of a trigger assembly/plunger, a tube that holds the dough, and an end cap that holds the disk with the cookie patterns. There are several metal parts within the press (the handles, springs, plunger rod, and release button), while the plastic body of the press is all A variety of cookie pattern discs are available in an aluminum alloy and include an array of shapes and sizes. Even though all the important parts of the press are made of metal, the plastics used in the rest of it are very cheap feeling, and indeed the metal trigger kept cutting through the plastic used for the handle when I pressed out cookies, breaking part of it I was pleased to find that the press feels reasonably sturdy in the hand when assembled, and easy to use once the assembly is complete. To prepare the cookies, you just slide the plastic dough tube into the trigger assembly, press the plunger on the top of the trigger, insert some dough, then pick a cookie disk and screw it onto the other side of the The dough is compacted and starts to come out of the disk once the trigger is pulled after the assembly and loading of the machine. The plunger moves forward just enough to make one cookie with just one pull of the trigger. My experience with this cookie cutter is very positive and I used many shapes, only having one of them not release In addition, the press itself can be placed in the dishwasher. I have run it through the machine a couple of times and it has come out clean and without any issues - however, the cookie pattern disks should be hand washed. As for the recipe included with the press, I tried it and it made delicious cookies with the right shape and volume. You get a good number of cookies per batch since they are quite small and thin. The overall result is positive. It's fun to make perfect, tasty cookies with this recipe.
