There is only one application where this worked well icing and frosting I tried several recipes and could not get any dough to work in this press. I have used this recipe successfully for years, but it did not work in this press. The only time I've ever tried making churros in it was when I was a kid.
The fact that it is made of plastic would force me to think it will push the limits of this one. It is better for things like cheese sticks because it is made of metal.

The original I had was broken so I had to buy a new one. I find this product to be really helpful. However, the instructions do not tell you that the cookie dough should not be refrigerated. The recipe in a Wilton Spritz Cookie book that I purchased along with my first cookie press specified that the dough needed to be chilled. Due to too much pressure, the dough popped, which prevented me from taking off the tube for cleaning. I was able to finish the batch of cookies, but I could not take off the tube. Cuisinart explained what happened to me over the phone. With Amazon's return policy, returning a product was a breeze. Now I know what not to do for a return.
I used to make cookie presses with my mom when I was growing up. My children and I would like to do it together again. It was a real disappointment to receive a cookie press from Cuisinat. There were no cookies made from the dough after it came out of the press. As soon as the press stopped working, it The dough just won't rise no matter what the temperature I use. I used the recipes and temperature provided by the site. It is a real disappointment to me that this product is subpar.
It's a horrible product, and I wouldn't recommend it Although the cookie template was positioned specifically on the pan, the installation instructions on its use were unclear. However, the dough from the recipe included was difficult to remove from the tube. Due to the inability to separate the handle from the tube for cleaning, we would only be able to use this once. A tube is stuck so tightly that three of us tried to remove it and were unable to do so.
When I complained, the company sent me a new one. In this year's Christmas cookie making, I made a lot of them One thing I found a little disappointing was that 10 of the disks are just numbers "1" through "10" (I guess they are for cake decorations). It is possible that the dough expanded because I overfilled the barrel. When each batch was baking I put the loaded press in the fridge in between batches, which may have allowed the dough to expand in the fully packed barrell, leading to uneven baking. This is a barrel-cracking motion. My first response from Cuisinart was that I had to pay for postage for a new one, and to return the broken one. What do you mean by "lifetime warranty?"? The customer service rep at Cuisinart gave me a replacement immediately after I complained. I am glad that it worked out in the end With the exception of the barrel, which is constructed from a too thin plastic. You don't want the dough to rest in the barrel if you overload the barrel.
I am so grateful for this alternative to my old one which finally stopped working! These cookies are awesome! I love all the different versions you can make!.
Although I have not used it to make cookies, I bought it to do some deviled eggs (for a party). I find it easy to use, easy to cleanup and I am very pleased with the results.
As advertised, it performs exactly as stated. Here is what you need to know It is easy to see when the dough is almost gone thanks to the transparent canister. You're done in no time!.
There will be a specific dough that needs to be made. Nothing to worry about. In order to use the press, you will need dough that is 'soft' enough. To use it well, it takes a little practice.
