This mat did not live up to my expectations! I cannot believe how much money is being wasted. It doesn't slip because the reviews say it doesn't, so don't believe the hype. No matter how much flour I added, I could not get this mat to remain in place when moving it around while I was kneading You can't knead the dough on the mat, as it sticks to it and the entire mat slides off after a few minutes. Moreover, it has a difficult time being cleaned. To get started, you'll have to make a reservation Using a scraper, scrub all the dough off the mat before then rinsing. I wouldn't return it anyway, because it is too much of a hassle.
My dough has a sticky texture to the surface, so I must wrap it between two sheets of parchment paper before rolling it up. The overall impression I got from my purchase remains positive.
I have no idea how I lived without it. My work table is always a mess after I knead my bread on it, and I quickly grew tired of removing it. This mat is amazing! I ordered it and now I can see the difference. In order to keep the dough from sticking, no extra flour needs to be added. There is no need to wash it As well, I love the rings that are printed on it that are measured. Rolled out pie dough and flour tortillas work great with it. It is a product that I highly recommend to all home bakers.
It is heavy enough and has just the right amount of grip, so it doesn't slip while working on bread or cookies. It has some nice measured circles so you can make pie crusts and cookies with it. As far as I can tell, it is a good reinforced silicon, I can imagine it would be useful in an oven if you had a huge oven. It is too large for our "normal" sized wall oven, so I can't say if it would work. If I was going to use sharp knives on it, I would not. For many years to come, I believe it will be perfect for our needs, bread, crusts, and cookies. I like it!.
I was looking for something For me, this is the right size. While the picture doesn't show us how well it works, the fact is, it really does. The tacky stuff doesn't stick, even if it feels like it does! In the recipe for dinner rolls, I was told not to use much flour when rolling them out. I was very pleased with the mat. As well as holding in place. It is something I take very seriously. A wipe is all that is needed to remove it. It is rolled up and a few rubber bands are attached to it so that I can store it in the same shelving unit as There is a lot of depth to it, so it As well as being flexible, it is also easy to roll. If it came to me folded, I would not do it. It didn't take long to remove the creases but I took it out and put it flat. Cut it on the line where it says not to. It may not be thick enough to be "extra thick," however I feel that it is As a matter of fact, I used my pastry cutter to divide the dough into sections and it did not hurt. While that isn't a sawing motion, it's still not fast enough. That is not what I will do. It is a plus that there are clear inch markings along the bottom AND side edges. As of now, I have not tried to use the rings for pie, but I intend to do so As an aside, the cookies are made with maple and glazed in maple. I would buy this mat again because they are divine. We've used this recipe for holiday baking numerous times and did it today for the cookies in the last picture as well. The song is still one of my favorites. There is no need for a lot of flour either. As recipes say, "generously flour the surface", this is A little touch here and there. Cleaning and storing this product is easy. Recent purchases rank among the best of all time.
There will never be a second time. I just made dinner rolls with my pastry mat for the first time. My favorite parts about this book are the large size and thickness. It's definitely not thin. Following the wipe, I placed the mat on a damp countertop, and it stayed in place! I put a little dish soap on top and washed it right there at the end of the project. The handy little band included in the package allowed me to roll it up once it was dry. I recently purchased this pastry mat and it is now a kitchen must have!.
This sort of mat used to be present in my Tupperware cabinet until a couple of years ago when it finally gave out. After muddle-throughing without one for a while, I had to move on to a countertop in my kitchen because the old, neglected rental house where I live does not have a counter I feel comfortable rolling things out on. The mat is easy to clean, sticks well to its surface, and makes it easy to remove whatever you are rolling out on it (Mom's butter cookies, I'm looking at you! transfer it to a baking sheet when ready. There is enough give in the dough to ensure that you do not abuse it as you roll, but it is not squishy. This is a great result for me. . . . And look at that! It comes with its own hair! I'm so envious! A caring attitude The fabric must be of high quality A covered rubberband attaches it to the elastic so you can roll it up to store it without scratching the What a genius!.
It is not recommended that you keep the mat folded up in the original packaging. Apart from that, it is a fine.
