Do not use any other canisters than butane. The canisters come with a little 'spout' that fits into the torch tank. A few may leak, but not many
Despite its ease of use, this torch does not have a trigger instead, it has an adjustable dial that controls the flame size. This probably isn't the best choice for finely detailed work but would be fine for other tasks.
We need a screwdriver for this! In my case, the black knob kept spinning when it stopped working, and it did no further service. In my case, it turned out the black knob has a set screw that is prone to coming loose. It's not visible until you disassemble the unit that you'll see the set screw. The base must be unplugged, then 3 screws on the top must be unplugged. Then tighten the set screw in the black knob and replace it. I like the simplicity of it, and it works as it should!
Using ounces was the only thing I'm not quite sure of, but it didn't take very long to fill. As it is small, not a lot of things go wrong with it.

The filling of it with butane, however, was a major hassle. As far as I am concerned, there was no problem with the butane cans I bought from Target. The tip of the can did not fit in the torch when I tried to insert it. bottom of the torch has an odd shape that doesn't allow it to be used with the general butane refill cans. Eventually I went to Ace Hardware where I asked the attendant to put a different brand of butane in front of me to be sure that I wasn't wasting anymore Worked like a charm. To help you know what works, I'm posting the brand name I bought. I recommend that you always have a butane torch filled with butane before you need it - don't be like me scrambling around town to find a butane source when you need it most. My rating for the torch is four stars, because it works perfectly well - the only problem is refilling the can. I am unsure whether I should give the torch a lower rating or the can is incompatible.
Do not look any longer. Today's dab was made possible by it, so that's a good thing. After a day or so, it arrived. It's a monster. I must have bought it for replacement of the one which I bought well over a year ago and used extensively before breaking.
The type of gas refill bottle that would work was hard to figure out. The moment I figured out which refills had a "short nozzle" and where to find a "long nozzle" refill, everything worked as it should. I finally found the correct type of canister (Ronco) at Walmart in the section for tobacco.
I found this to be very easy to use and it seems very safe to use due to the lock button. There is just enough flame to graze over my artwork to pop bubbles while preventing it from becoming a safety hazard. I highly recommend it.
Initially, the blow torch worked fine. I used it daily for a week before it stopped working. The burner did not produce a flame and troubleshooting did not fix the issue. As a result, I returned the item to Amazon as faulty and posted a one-star review there. After the company's apology, they sent me a free replacement product. Soon after, I received an email from them apologizing for the product. Initially, my reaction was to think, "That's awesome, a company that cares about its products", accepted the replacement, and thanked them. As soon as I realized my mistake, I corrected myself. I told the company that I could not provide a better review until I had been able to adequately test the replacement blow torch and since the old blow torch worked at first, but later failed, it was impossible to provide a more honest opinion until I saw how the product performed over time. After I declined to increase my review, the company emailed me repeatedly and repeatedly asking me to do so. Upon receiving their request, they made it clear that they felt I had an obligation to them and that, as a result, I should dishonestly manipulate my review. When they asked me to post a review I politely and firmly refused, saying I couldn't do it without testing the product thoroughly. It is important to provide honest reviews and not have the reviews artificially inflated by dishonest companies manipulating the My review was dishonestly increased, so they emailed me to say they had waited long enough for me to complete. It implied that I had been delaying their review and that I didn't meet my obligation to them. Having been persistently and rudely emailed for a long time, I finally told them "enough is enough". If you need further information, please do not contact me. I am concerned about the authenticity of the reviews for this product due to the fact that it is clear behind the scenes that customers are being pressured to write dishonest reviews in return In light of my experience with this product that demonstrated it was not built with quality and would not last, combined with the inappropriate, repetitive, and rude attempts from the company to manipulate my review, I cannot endorse this product or Additionally, I intend to send this to my employer since I know they will read it I will end the review with a sincere and honest evaluation.
It appears that the body is made from high-quality materials that provide it with a sturdy yet Whether you need a small butane torch in the shop, garage, laboratory, or anywhere else, this tool is perfect for you. In my case, I was using it in a soldering project involving an automatic grid power feed generator, and it worked great. It's not uncommon for me to prepare "cremes brulées" from time to time, and I have the feeling that this torch will work well to give the final touch of crispiness. Thus, in a nutshell- The ignition is automatically controlled For igniting, there is no need for any additional tools - An adjustable flame control lever can be used to increase and decrease flame size* The ergonomic grip provides a smooth, comfortable grip that is easy to use. The wide base will not tip over for safety* This torch is fueled by butane and can be refilled
For reliable ignition every time, opt for a piezo electronic ignition system.
NOTE This product will arrive empty (in order to protect it during shipping), and it must be refilled before.
This product does exactly what the description says it will. For the price, this is an excellent choice.
