I'd never made a tart before, but with this pan, I was able to do so. I didn't bother reading the directions because the pan isn't complicated. I deduced the flat circle was the bottom and it went inside the ring because there was an outer ring with ridges and a flat circle part that fit inside. We created a tart. After that, I washed it and found that nothing had adhered to it. So far, the non-stick aspect has proven to be successful. The tart was delicious, but that is more a reflection of the recipe than the pan; however, I can say that the pan did not detract from the flavor; this is my first tart pan purchase, and if I lose it, I will likely purchase another.
I'm glad I was able to get my hands on this. The sturdy metal base layer makes tart-making a breeze, and the excellent nonstick, two-layer coating makes cleanup a breeze. As a result of the piece design, the pan releases as easily as pie.
I was a little concerned at first after reading that some had arrived warped in the reviews, but this one arrived in perfect condition! Also, now that I have it and see how sturdy it is, I doubt I could bend it and ruin it. br>The removable bottom is obviously brilliant and extremely practical. Some similar pans, I believe, will have a film to keep the bottom from coming out too easily, but this one does not, and that's fine; the solution is to be cautious and you'll get used to it! However, while you're working in it, the bottom doesn't sag or move around. br>br>Once again, I adore Wilton, and this has only served to increase my admiration for them.
As a seasoned baker, I realized I'd never made a tart before, necessitating the purchase of a tart pan. I'm a big fan of Wilton baking products, so the biggest decision I had to make was which size to get. I went with the larger 11" tart pan so I could make a bigger tart, and it worked perfectly! There was no leaking, no difficulty removing the outer lining, and no crust stuck. It was flawless in every way, just like all of the Wilton products I've bought over the years.
I purchased two because one would be insufficient for a large dinner party. They worked as expected, but because they aren't particularly heavy, I added a strip of baking parchment to the bottom, as I do with all of my baking. Especially when using pans with a slanted bottom. It makes it easier to remove the baked goods and avoids a mess in my oven. Although I wish they were larger, Wilton is a well-known brand, and you get what you pay for.
This tart pan is one of my favorites. It does not require any lubrication. My homemade short crust pastry cooks evenly, browns beautifully, and comes out of the oven with ease. I loved it so much that I bought a second one so that I could make multiple pies, tarts, and quiches at the same time. In a half sheet pan, two of these fit with plenty of room. In terms of recipes, start with a 9" pie recipe and then half it. Everything went off without a hitch.
Sturdy, not flimsy (as compared to the store's flimsy ones). Cleaning is a breeze. Simple to work with. There was no need for parchment paper or any kind of grease. I made a delectable salted caramel macintosh apple tart, and I'm planning on getting the round one as well. I use Pillsbury ready-made pie crust, which I believe is easier to work with. In addition, I needed to find a rectangular plate that could hold the tart for presentation. Although the rectangular one appears to be easier to slice, I believe the round one is better in the long run.
br>I received feedback that my dessert appeared to be professional and that people were surprised I made it. br>It has a fancy boujee look to it because of the shape.
