The angel food cake pan comes in two pieces. The Chicago Metallic pan that I used for this recipe yielded three chiffon cakes. This is the first time that's happened I noticed that a big puddle of batter was on the table when I picked up the pan. It was so delicious that I ended up eating it twice However, I was making a Chiffon Cake recipe that a friend gave to I used my regular Chiffon Cake recipe for the second time. Before I poured the batter into the pan, I already wrapped it in aluminum foil. After I placed the pan onto a baking sheet, I baked it for about 35 minutes. There was a big difference in the texture of this cake compared to the first. During the baking process it I once again had a huge puddle of batter in the pan. As I pondered whether I should keep this pan, I began having second thoughts. My old pan was difficult to clean this one has a nonstick surface, which makes cleanup a lot easier) In order to fill the pan, I assembled the pan and placed it on my In several spots I felt the pan move or shift up slightly when I pressed down on it. As it turns out, my new pan had a small defect that was not obvious at first. The feet on this cake pan are why I like it so much. It is necessary to cool angel food cake upside down for it to work. Many people balance angel food cake pans upside down on bottles (inserted into the hole) or on cans when angel food cake pans do not have feet. I can imagine how difficult that would be. To me, it is better if the pan has built-in feet so that it can be stood upright while cooling upside down. In angel food boxed cake and most recipes, the pan is 10 inches in diameter. Though I thought it would be close enough, it wasn't. It was so far baked over that it defeated the purpose of having legs for it to stand on. It would have been better to just buy a regular 10-inch pan since I had to tip it over on the glass bottle anyhow.

I much prefer this pan to the old uncoated aluminum style, which worked well for angel food cake but pound cake did not seal properly. There's no need to use a knife when releasing the cake from this pan this pan also works great with I haven't noticed any slight leaks out the bottom anymore.
I have used this pan 6 times already and it has performed beyond my expectations. It is important to note that I grease the pans before and after each use so they can release easily.

I have made two coffee cakes and one angel food cake so far with this device, and each time has turned out perfectly. The cake slipped right out of it and it was very easy to clean. As well as the little cooling legs, the mug is very well made. I believe this pan is a good little pan, and it does its job just fine, even though it is not of as high a quality as some of the chef-grade ones.

The cinnamon cake Mama Gina made with this was delicious. It is said that dozens of balls of dough coated in cinnamon sugar are meant to fill a half-full pan. By the time the sugar balls had doubled the height of the pan and the cake was baked, the sugar balls had already risen to the rim of the pan. In spite of the fact that I did not grease the pan, the cake easily came out after refrigeration. To my surprise, the sugar balls did not stick to the frying On top of that, the top of the pan is designed with three legs which are very useful for removing cakes. In addition, I put the pan in the sink for cleanup after removing the cake. To loosen any cake residue, it was filled with water. It was my intention to clean the pan shortly afterward, but Despite the pan being full of water the next day, it stayed full. There wasn't a drop of blood in the cake during the 12 hour period! Oh, Mama Gina's cake was wonderful!.
