As shown in the picture, the exterior of the Norpro nonstick angel food cake pan has a light color and the interior has a medium color. The response I received was different from that. I received a pan that was black on both the inside and outside. A lighter interior was important to me since I didn't want the darker crust of the dark pans. But while the pan is solid and well-made, I was concerned about the darker crust it would inevitably give. Designed and built very well. Be aware that if you are looking for the light/medium colored pan in the picture, you will not find it here. There is a lot more darkness in this pan than shown in the picture. It's non-stick, so that's good. The joke is on you. It took me a knife around the edge to get my cake released, and when I tried to wash it, I couldn't get everything off of it. I had to soak it for nearly 3 hours, and finally I was able to wash it with a scrubby sponge. While it wasn't a super expensive purchase, it disappointed me nonetheless.
