It isn't glazed in any way. Take a look at this tube pan from Nordic ware. It's a little on the expensive side, but it's a lovely baking pan.
There are no coatings on it. The middle hole is exactly as large as it appears in the photo.

Aluminum pans should never be washed in the dishwasher if they are going to be used repeatedly. Aluminum will corrode if you use dishwasher detergent.

We spend a lot of time in the kitchen baking. The two-part tube pans are also a no-no for us. This is a solidly constructed single-part tube pan. The larger tube in the center allows oven heat to reach the inside of the cake, ensuring that it is completely cooked - There are no wet areas inside. It's produced some delicious chocolate pound cakes and a couple of fruit cakes. It's a solid piece of equipment that gets the job done.
This is something I bought for my wife, and she absolutely adores it. The product is of good quality and I like it. Although it is quite costly, I am pleased with the outcome.
This recipe is perfect for a 12 cup pound cake.
This pan is very sturdy. Cake came out easily, and best of all, it's a one-piece pan, so there's no leakage like with two-piece pans.
