Questions & Answers
This glass bread pan would be able to withstand the heat. However, I'm not sure why you'd want to pre-heat the pan for 30 minutes, or even at all. I've never seen a proposal like this in any of the recipes I've seen. A metal pan might be the best choice for this move.
Mine measures 10 3/8 inches in length and 5 1/4 inches in width.
There were two pans included with mine.
I'm not sure, but I wouldn't pay that price! Perhaps they're raising the price in anticipation of the upcoming Christmas holidays, but I wouldn't pay that price!!

When I ordered this item, it stated that it came in a set of two, so I assumed I'd get two pans. There was only one left: (I returned it).
Isn't it clear that this is a two-piece set on the one-piece package? Call me crazy, but when I order a double pack, I expect to receive two items.
These can be used for a variety of purposes. It bakes the best meatloaf, bread, pound cake, and a variety of other savory and sweet baked goods. Because of the rusting scratch marks on my metal loaf pans, I was becoming increasingly frustrated. Furthermore, no matter how well I greased the metal loaf pans, whatever I baked in them stuck like crazy! I had to rip apart and dig out my meatloaf or bread loaf on a regular basis. Certain foods, such as bread and cake, must be removed from the pan hot and allowed to cool on a wrack to avoid overcooking. The metal pans also cooked at a higher temperature, which resulted in overcooking the outside of the food; these, on the other hand, bake evenly all over. With a light coat of nonstick spray, the glass becomes surprisingly nonstick, and I can even line the pan with parchment or wax paper for easy clean up or to simply lift the loaf out. There will be no commotion and no mess. I love these pans, and getting two for the price was a great deal; I waited far too long to make the switch to glass, and I would recommend them to anyone who bakes or cooks.
They were able to freely bop around the box while wrapped in bubble wrap. They were thankfully undamaged. However, because there was nothing between the two pans, they were extremely adhered to one another. I was almost certain I wouldn't be able to disassemble them, but soap and water worked wonders. It was just something that shouldn't have happened and could have easily gone wrong, so it seemed reasonable to deduct a star and issue a cautionary note.
I'm not sure if I'll ever use my metal bread pans again. My bread baked at least 3/4" higher in a Pyrex dish than it did in a metal pan of the same size. As a result, I placed an order for these two loaves of bread, and my third loaf is currently baking. People are amazed that these loaves came from my oven. I'm accused of purchasing them at a store.
After noticing that the metal on our metal containers was scraping off and causing our bread to turn gray at the edges, we decided to replace them with glass containers. Every week, we bake about one loaf of keto bread, and it's always been a breeze to use. Withstood 350°F baking and went straight into the refrigerator. Safe to put in the dishwasher. We've been cutting slices of bread as we go, and there haven't been any visible knife marks. I'm going to get the lids as soon as possible!.
Not for the faint of heart. Pyrex is known for its high quality. br>However, double-check that this is the right size for your application. This is a smaller size than you'll need for a one-pound loaf of bread. br>br>I was the one who made that error. My regular bread recipe makes three one-pound loaves, so three of these wouldn't fit. What's my answer? I've placed an order for a fourth pan! 4 loaves from the same recipe. For me, this means less baking and a clever way to reduce portion size. br>.
My other Pyrex glass pans perform admirably. Because they're made of glass, there's little chance of anything leaching into my food, they heat evenly, and they last a long time if properly cared for. br>I'm glad they arrived undamaged. They were stacked inside each other and surrounded by a layer of bubble wrap. They bumped around in every direction as they were moved during shipping because the box was much larger than needed and there was no other packing material around them. br>For the holidays, sweet breads.
