Questions & Answers

Does this have a coating of any kind? A nonstick surface is not what I want. ?

It is not the case that they are non-existent Stick to it. The reason I use parchment paper when I bake bread is because it is near impossible to remove the bread from the pan without some type of coating or My favorite pans are the ones I own.

Do you think this pan is suitable for making meatloaf in the Instant Pot 6 quart?

I agree! You may find a complete list of all our products that fit in the 6 and 7 inch measurements on our website This 8 quart Instant Pot can cook two meals at once.

Would you kindly let me know what the interior dimensions are?

aluminum pans are similar in size to commercial grade aluminum pans, however they are a little thinner. The pan measures 4 7/8" x 8 7/8" in its interior at the top. At the bottom, the bottom of the pan slightly taper and goes in a quarter-inch on each side. It is my pleasure to offer you these Fat Daddio's pans, which I bought I would prefer if they weren't quite as short for yeast bread because it's a little difficult to remove from the pan when it goes over the edge. Breads such as banana bread or other breakfast types of loaves will work perfectly with them. I think it could also be used for meatloaf.

When you removed the glue that held the label in place, how did you do it?

There is a glue that sticks to the paper label on the interior (that is inside the pan) that is very difficult to remove. There are still a few areas that I need to cover. I have tried everything possible. won't need any googone for now, but I'll pick up some the next time I'm at

Selected User Reviews For Fat Daddio's Anodized Aluminum Bread Pan, 5.5 x 3.125 x 2.375 Inch

You won't be able to take them back, but you will find that it wasn't very sticky
4/5

Overall, I love the pans, but I am not a fan of the glue that is used to hold the labels on the inside of the pans. Remove the glue dot and you will never be able to remove it. With Goo Gone, I was able to remove the glue, scrubbed it, and finally had to use tweezers to pick off tiny bits of the dot. The pans used an industrial glue which took a long time to dry. There's no need for an industrial glue My experience with all other brands of pans is that they come with a label that peels off with the glue. As a result of not being able to remove the glue dot, I would be hesitant to buy more of this brand.

There is no rule or law in fat daddio's world! Until I came back here to view the product listing to examine the size of the pans (I already own a bunch of Fat Daddio's pans, so I didn't read the reviews before purchasing), I apparently didn't have any trouble separating them
5/5

As soon as I saw all the problems they were having, I jumped up and grabbed my pans only to realize that I had already separated them at the time they arrived, prior to putting As you can see, I am disabled and have small hands and a low level of hand strength. So maybe I just happened to get Occasionally I use my Fat Daddio's cake pans for pie crusts, and the quality is the same as other Fat Daddio's cake pans I own(many cake pans in different sizes). In order to prepare my baking pans, I always use "baker's goop. " By blending equal amounts of oil, shortening, and AP flour with a hand mixer, you can make your own high quality tortilla chips at home. Then you can coat your pans with the product (or use a small wad of paper to apply the coating) and nothing will I do not use the dishwasher on Fat Daddio's bakeware, even though their pans are dishwasher safe. The automatic dishwashing detergent can be very harsh, and over time, it can cause discoloration and imperceptible pitting on the surface of the pans, which can eventually lead to foods sticking to them. So long as you prepare your pans appropriately, baking won't stick to them. Cleaning them won't require any more than a bit of hot water, a few spritzes of liquid detergent, and a quick In my experience it is best to clean my pans as soon as I turn out the baked goods onto a rack, and then to place them Observe the temperature of the water, which is still Be careful about scratching these pans when storing them, as well. As a precaution, I either place them back into the original plastic bags or stack them with paper towels between them during storage to prevent scratching the inside of the pans. The pans that Fat Daddio made will last you for years if they are taken care of properly.

Please, Fat Daddio, get rid of the glue spot on your chin! It fits in my Instant Pot Duo 6 and is a nice quality pan
4/5

It is made of heavy anodized aluminum and can be used in the oven or on the stove top. Their seams are seamless, and I like that. It is my only complaint, and I have lowered the rating by one star, that Fat Daddio continues to use industrial strength glue dots to adhere their labels to the pans. On the pan surface, there is an inordinate amount of glue residue that proves extremely difficult to clean off. With many of my previous purchases, I was able to easily remove the glue. A simple fix would probably be to replace the pans. I own four Fat Daddio pans and they've all had the same problem!.

Preparations for cooking, how to restore pans, deep cleaning, a warning about cooking with olive oil/getting your dishwasher to clean it, and tips on gluten-free Pan dimensions on top are four and a half by eight and a half inches

4 3/4" x 8 3/4" are the outside dimensions of the bottom. There aren't square corners on this banner, but they're The pan number is You can put it in the oven up to 550F and it's freezer safe. The top is rolled and the seam is seamless, so that is good at least. Aluminum that has been anodized. It is possible that you must reduce the recipe's temperature or duration due to the ability of anodized bakeware. There will be a temperature drop between 5 and 25 degrees Despite their weight, they are highly durable. This types of pans MUST NOT be used with olive oil (or sprays containing olive oil). A warning has been left by the manufacturer that it will leave behind a sticky residue. You don't have to make your pans harder to use just so your life is easier. The best way to maintain the performance of Fat Daddio's anodized bakeware is to wash it by hand or soak it in warm soapy water, then rinse and towel or air dry. If your bakeware is not properly lubricated, it can damage the surface. Therefore, please do not use dishwasher detergents, bleaches, harsh chemicals, abrasive soaps, wire brushes, scouring sponges, or sharp tools! You ought to put your fat daddio pan through the dishwasher IF you have. The tip for restoring it can be found at the bottom of my post.

Preparation of the pan I eat

BREAKFAST When using butter for the first time, coconut oil, canola oil, lard, or shortening are the best choices. Sweet breads and yeast breads may need to be dusted with flour or cornmeal. During the first few uses of the baking surface, the surface will develop a beautiful patina that will reduce or eliminate the need for pan preparation. Flour can be dusted on sweet breads. To provide additional release, you can spray a flour spray on yeast breads * you can dust with cornmeal. Because I bake gluten free and grain free, I use coconut oil and brown rice flour instead of bread flour The reason I use Fat Daddios in the first place is that it is a thick, durable paper. Gluten free/grain free cooking has NEVER been so easy. In the first few uses of the pan, the surface tends to develop a wonderful patina, which will prevent or reduce the need for pan preparation. The following are some of the cookies and pastries In general, these items do not need to be prepared in a pan. There is a higher fat content in most recipes than in cakes, and they provide a more effective release of energy. Rather than lining the pan with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper, you can simply line it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat when baking low fat or no fat pastry. The following are the typical pies, tarts, and quiche You may use grease-free cooking oils as long as the recipe calls for it For these items, there is generally no need to prepare the pan before release. Butter and fat content are high in most crust recipes, and so they provide a natural release for the dough. CHEESE CAKE You can prepare the bread with unsalted butter and flour using a traditional recipe. As an alternative to butter, shortening and lard can also be used.

I just put my pan through the dishwasher!
There are also a number of commercial spray release products that work well as well! You should not throw out the pan as it still has a life of baking ahead of it! Using a cloth and a couple drops of good quality baking oil (NOT OLIVE OIL) to season the pan is a good start. The majority of phosphate residue can be removed using this method. You might need to coat the entire pan with butter or shortening, and place the pan on a cookie sheet if there is extreme discoloration. Put the pan in the oven and bake it for 10 minutes at 300 degrees. It is best to let the pan cool for a few minutes before using it. Ensure the pan is clean by wiping it with a towel while it is still warm. The bakeware used in the kitchen takes a beating if it's not cared for properly. From the grease and butter, it will build up a patina with continued use.
