In the inner pan, the meatloaf is separated from the grease by a height of about 20 to 30 cm. Getting rid of the inner pan proved no problem for me. You're not going to have any trouble.
The dishwasher comes out clean every time, and there is never a hint of rust on it. I've run it through at least a dozen times.

My old meatloaf pans needed to be replaced, and I wanted one that was dishwasher-safe and non-stick to make it easier to clean. I can truly say that this is It normally takes me two hours to make two loaves and I usually use 2 pounds of meat per one. I just wanted to show in the pictures that they I was able to drain the grease into the lower pan as specified and clean it easily as well. In addition to my meatloaf recipe, I gave these out for Christmas to my kids.
My heart is full of joy when I see Anolon It took me about 24 years to wear out my pots and pans. I love this pan, and the meatloaf comes out great. Keep it up in the inner pan so it doesn't get greased. A small problem occurs with the outer pan, because it is difficult to remove the inner pan. There is one flaw in the design, and that is my only gripe. In fact, it is dishwasher safe, however, handwashing will keep the nonstick coating from wearing away. You should also never use cooking spray with nonstick coated surfaces. I suspect that's why my old Anolon pans endured so long and kept their nonstick quality even after getting scratched a few years ago.
As soon as I saw this loaf pan, I thought it was a great idea. I had previously purchased another one that had gotten rusty after only two uses, and I threw it out. The set in this set is of much higher quality, the other one does not I've used the stick surface for a long time and it still works. If you make a meatloaf, the grease will sit above the perforated insert so you will not have a puddle of unhealthy fat to deal with. There is no smell at all and it cleans up very well. I'm very satisfied with my Nevertheless, I would like to see the lip of the perforated insert extend a little farther than the pans at the bottom. I find that removing the HOT insert from the bottom pan can be a little tricky.
A pan like this has been in my possession for years, and I bought one for my Dad just a couple weeks ago. You can either use the drain part of the pan so that the grease drains when cooking a meatloaf, which is pretty much what I use it for, or you can leave it off and use it for banana bread. You can use the loaf pan to make breads, quick breads, pound cakes and whatever else you need a loaf pan for, in addition to meatloaf. It is an amazing pan! Moreover, it's easy to remove the insert, and grease falls through to the bottom of the cooking insert. You'll also get crunchy edges on the meatloaf. This purchase is not of the same quality as the previous one. By cheapening it, they have made it less attractive. I really enjoyed my original ones, but I had to give them up for some reason.
A meat loaf pan like this is ideal. A pan below collects the grease that drips from the top. Clean up is also a breeze with this product. There should be no problem with it going in the dishwasher, but I don't recommend it unless you want it to scrub particularly well.
