Selected User Reviews For Emile Henry Made In France HR Modern Classics Square Baking Dish 8 x 8" / 2 Qt, Red
The Emile Henry baking dish is appealing to the eye. a thick glaze, a substantial weight, and a handcrafted appearance It is simple to clean. France produced this item. The only criticism I have is that the unglazed portions of the bottom were a little rough, despite the fact that the bottom is mostly glazed. Fortunately, using very fine emory cloth (superfine sandpaper), my husband was able to improve this. The packaging for the EH baking dish was excellent. br>When compared to the Le Creuset Heritage Stoneware 8" square dish, the Emile Henry appears to be of higher quality. The Le Creuset was whiter in color, but its shape was a little off square, and the bottom rocked slightly. (It's a Chinese product. ) ) The Le Creuset was only wrapped in a thin sheet of bubble wrap, and there was plenty of room in the shipping box for it to move around.
It's important to be aware of the following: If you have other Emile Henry "Modele Depose" bakeware, this item does not match the others; the "EH" embossment is new, so perhaps the set has been updated since I purchased my other dishes. The inside is a cream color rather than the bright white of the other three dishes I own. It's not a deal breaker, but it does stand out from the rest of my set, which is disappointing. br>br>Apart from that, this dish is extremely high quality and will last a lifetime.
The colors are so vibrant, and they're thicker and deeper than cheaper clear glass bakeware, which helps to prevent spills in my oven when things get too hot! I have both a small rectangle and an 8x8 square lasagne pan. They are easy to clean and will not scratch your furniture. They are fantastic.
I've only had it for 5 days and used it once, so I can't comment on durability. However, it has far surpassed my expectations thus far. br>I placed two orders, one for myself and the other for my mother. My package was shipped in a very large box with the plastic air pockets that Amazon uses - These, however, are ineffective when the item is free to move around inside the box. It's incredible that it didn't break. You're capable of more, Amazon. The other was in an original packaging box that was placed inside a very large box, so it was better packaged.
I needed to get rid of some of my old baking dishes. I've never had anything made by Emile Henry that compares to this. The best of France! This is a sturdy, thick ceramic baking dish with no frills. It has a temperature tolerance of 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Preheat the oven. It can also be cooked on the stovetop, microwaved, or frozen. According to the instructions, you can remove it from the freezer and place it in a hot oven right away. (I'm too scared to do it myself, but it's good to know. ) However, this should never be used on a stovetop! The glaze has a silky smooth finish. There's no need to stray from my casseroles or even cornbread. Although I prefer to wash it by hand, the information indicates that it is dishwasher safe. It also comes with a ten-year warranty. I'm going to go ahead and purchase the next two larger sizes. I'm ecstatic to have received this!.
This 8X8 dish is stunning. I bought a second one as soon as I received the first, because it was of excellent quality and style. This is far superior to Le Creuset's cooking pots. This is a dish that you will enjoy.
It has a lovely finish that is also extremely long-lasting. Metal utensils are safe to use, according to the company, and I can vouch for that. We use a metal spatula to apply it all the time, and the finish is never scratched. It has a lustrous sheen to it and is very easy to clean. It appears to maintain a consistent temperature. br>br>To be honest, I can't think of anything negative to say! We bought this Emile Henry piece for the first time. We were a little hesitant to pay such a high price when there are so many other options. I looked at items that were a fraction of the price. But it's well worth the money, and we'll be ordering more of their dishes in the future. The pie dish is next on my to-do list. I'm looking forward to using this product to make quiche!.
I was at a pampered chef party with a friend, and I really liked the clean, ceramic look of their products. top notch They were also accompanied by a price tag. However, availability was poor, and product reviews were negative. Instead, I came across these. br> They're quite lovely. Lines that are free of clutter. The price, as well as the reviews, are fantastic!.
