You could say it has a sheen or is shiny. A few of the accents appear to be metallic. Overbearing, but not too much. My love for them goes without saying. Besides looking great, they do a great job blocking light and protecting against heat.
That is not the case. There is a very small hem, approximately half an inch.
Since each pack contains two curtains, you'd probably need 2 depending on the width of each window if you are covering two. The sets would consist of four pieces each There are panels for both sides of the window, so you can decide which you want. With only two curtains, the wide window didn't fit at all. I had to order more because the window is very wide.

Because these panels have high ratings, I purchased them when I was looking for some new blackout curtains. Despite their so-called "blackout" capabilities, I am underwhelmed by their performance. This material is so soft and feels like silk, quite elegant, especially since it has a silver thread-like Oriental pattern to it. The hair falls naturally straight down and is very easy to shape to appear more formal. For the quality of materials and the quality of the curtains, I'm giving them a 5 star rating. Since I know going in that they are not lined, that shouldn't be taken away from my points. Ultimately, future buyers may not like it if these curtains are used as the main window covering, because the navy backing will be visible when looking from the outside, especially if the exterior of the house has neutral colors. When these curtains were on Lightning Deal, I bought them, and they are totally worth the price. This brand is the same as what I've previously bought in solid colors and I enjoyed them as well. Compared to this type, those blackout curtains are more difficult to see through. Deconovo's solid colors look like these to me, but I find the texture a bit thin. The silver pattern on these was nicely done and I liked that they still gave off a lot of light. Working nights in Arizona with lots of sun, I live in AZ where there is a lot of sunshine. You need to make sure your blinds are closed or that you actually have blinds for them to do what they're supposed to.
