One and a half inches
It isn't heavy, but it has closet pole brackets, like a closet would install the rod end in each side into a pre-drilled hole for a peg, on a half-broken white laminate frame. Despite using clothes weight, it didn’t adhere well to the slick surface, so I improvised and used starch instead The closet pole brackets were used to reinforce it. There are two, one has those and one is literally hanging from a peg. As I described before, the pegs fit perfectly into the end caps of the tension rods.

I am sorry, but I do not know, as I bought the 18-inch The screen is 30 inches. It was only 22 inches that I needed. It took me a couple of minutes to twist the 16 inches to 22 inches.

It holds all my clothes even though I was unsure if it would hold the weight. It was so tight, I really tightened it. Hopefully, I'll be able to update if it fails. The update is I have been waiting 11 months for it to fall and it still has not!.
It's very beautiful and A quality rod that could accommodate a width of only 18 3/4 inches and that also was easily removable was what I needed. There's not a lot of information about that out there. I couldn't have imagined a better rod that looked and worked so well. But (the bad part) I have to return it since I can't install or remove it without leaving thick black streaks on the walls or cabinets. It is the black end cushions that cause the streaks. I was able to remove the streaks from my painted cabinet using a good detergent and a little elbow grease. The streaks on the wall could not be removed. There is an eggshell finish on the wall painted in a light color. The ends of countless rods I have seen do not leave any residue on a wall surface because they adhere well to the wall. The rods would not bend if the rods were updated to these non-bending rods With the exception of the padding on the end cushions, I'd purchase this item again in an instant.
It is imperative that the wall be level for the end caps to fit properly. Due to the end caps being too large for grommets to fit over, the package comes with an Allen wrench, which can be used to remove the end cap by unscrewing the screw. The rod is installed in place, so as soon as your curtains are on, replace the end cap so your curtains don't fall off. Once the installation is completed, it is extremely attractive.
This rod must be purchased with extreme care On top of the curtain is a large grommet, so I used it as a curtain. A hole with a diameter of about 2" is probably present. I can't attach my curtain to this rod right now since the ends are too wide and the pieces that actually untwist don't come entirely apart. So I must use something else to attach it to it until I can fix the ends of this rod. If you plan on using this, ensure that you are using grommets that separate in the middle, or a curtain that has a wide hole at the top so it can slide on the rod. There will be no way to pass most holes over the large end pieces that touch the window frame. My wish would have been to know these measurements before I bought the jacket.
The heavy duty thermal curtains give my living room privacy as well as a room divider. There is no movement of the rubber ends and I am not concerned about my wall being damaged.
There is a smaller closet where I would have liked to keep my suits and dresses (I'm OCD about organizing and everything in my home, especially clothing things, has a place), but the bar that was here when we moved in was flimsy and plastic. As far as my clothes were concerned, I only had my suits and blazers up (which is maybe 8-10 items) Prior to buckleing in the middle, it had ten fingers. It became apparent that I needed a steel or metal bar, and I bought this in the hope that it would fulfill my needs. Thanks to its ease of installation, it fit right in. My suits, blazers, and dresses have all been hanging there for a very long time, and it has only been weighed down a tiny amount (and I have 20-25 dresses hanging there). It's no secret that I kept the plastic one, so if ever we move, I'll bring it with me.
Taking advantage of my laundry room's available space, I put a shelf with a hanging rod between two cabinets. In hindsight, the tension rod helped prevent the shelves from extending too far or becoming too short, and made the space look more cohesive.
It seems that "1" does not quite tick off all the boxes. I am a little disappointed due to the fact that it cannot be used as intended. The packaging would not have been thrown away if we had used our noggin, so it would have been returnable. Despite its nice looks, this rod definitely has potential, and now that I cannot return it, I'm sure I'll use it in some way. As a result, what the product description fails to mention is that even though the rod is one inch in diameter, the end caps are almost two inches There are no end caps that can be removed without jeopardizing the integrity of the item, which is one inch in diameter. It does not fit in the gap between my curtain panel and the end cap. I think this little detail is the most hurtful, and the sellers don't include it in their descriptions because they don't think it is up to their standards.
