These are two images I took with the tension rods I purchased on Amazon of valances in my home. My home is a Victorian with original moldings and I have to use tension rods to avoid damaging them. The tension rods I have in my possession are very durable. I bought them from Walmart and Target in the past, but these ones appear to be more sturdy. This is the only product I will buy from now on.

The curtain rods look great hanging Christmas drapes and hangings on these rods. They are very easy to install and work well. The rods are strong enough to use with a pair of drapes of moderate weight, but I wouldn't consider using them for a pair of very heavy Since I used them on frames that are less than 36" wide, I can't comment on how well they would hold weight at 48", but as long as I am not considering them as a replacement for a much wider frame, they are an excellent buy.

I bought these items to make a shoe rack for the entryway and put them in the The idea of tension rods being used for other purposes was posted online recently. This a was del'd by them. We already have them in the closet holding shoes, so we don't have to wash them. I'll be able to vacuum the closet floor much easier now.

My home is filled with nice S hooks. The rods are long for their diameter, and I like the way they look. I'm giving one star less than five- I want to be honest. If you plan on using these for curtains that open and close using grommets, clips, or tabs, the curtains will get caught on the little bump where the mechanism is housed. They were to be installed on my enclosed porch in place of rusted ones. This was not going to work. I didn't return the shipping stuff since I didn't keep it, but I shared one with my daughter for a stationary panel, and I used three of the others to make a rack between two walls, which is very useful. Hopefully, I'll be able to share in the future with my neighbors.

Excellent value for the money. Using it is easy since it is very simple. By using it as a spice rack, there was a lot of extra space in the cabinet it would also be a great idea to use it as Compared to the cheapie spring tension rods, they are nicer.

The hook. There might be some wobble when the tension is set in place (like a load on the road might look like it has a slight dip where it is tensioned). Holds up well for the purposes I need it for. I tried setting them to a general width prior to installation, and when I tried to lean the top up on a ledge, the top turned downward a bit (away from where I had set it). They spin very freely. Other than that, fine.
