Questions & Answers

What's the best way to hang curtains on a rod?

The curtain rods are designed to fit over the wall anchor. The curtain rod is held in place on the anchor by a small screw. Grommets, as opposed to pockets, are much easier to install on the rods. However, I found it easier to put one end of the rod on the anchor, hang the curtains, and then return to the anchor with the other end. I tightened the screws that held the curtain rods to the anchors after I finished installing all of the panels. When you see the curtain rods, this description will most likely make more sense. I have a total of ten of these in my home. I hope this helps! They're very well made and look great!

Is it true that the 84-year-old Is a middle support bracket required for a 120-inch rod?

It really depends on how you intend to use this rod, Lookin4Trouble. These curtain rods are fairly sturdy, but if you plan on extending them very far, the center support bracket is highly recommended. The extra-long curtain rod was purchased to be used over a patio door. Because I didn't need to extend it very far, the curtain rod is effectively doubled, and the center support bracket was unnecessary. My curtains, on the other hand, aren't particularly heavy and have grommet tops, so they don't put any strain on the curtain rod when I open them. If you want to extend the curtain rod all the way out, you should use the center bracket that comes with it. It's a solid curtain rod, but not particularly so. I hope I was able to provide you with a satisfactory response to your query!

Is there a center bracket included with this?

I had it, but I never used it. For added durability, I bought the next larger size.

Is it all metal in this one?

Yes, each and every color is made of metal. I have brown and silver in different rooms with blackout curtains, and they are very nice. The "o-" has more effective blackout curtains. "stock" web page

The most dreadful curtain rod design I've ever seen
3/5

Because of the holes' placement, you can't drill straight into the nail no matter how hard you try. The holes are also not perpendicular to one another (one side is offset, while the other is not). It's also designed so that you have to hang the curtains on the rod before drilling the bar into the wall (which necessitates the use of two people). The nail butterflies that come with the kit are also on the wrong side of the wall and will not hold through just dry wall. Do not waste your time or money on this curtain rod. What should have been a 30-minute project took nearly two hours, and we'll have to start over with a new board drilled directly into studs.

I'd suggest it! I was worried that it wouldn't project far enough from the wall to accommodate the vertical blinds that project out, but they cleared them and we could have moved them a little further out if needed
5/5

I bought them for this reason and to use with blackout curtains, so the wraparound ends are ideal. In terms of sturdiness, I noticed what appeared to be a slight sag where one rod goes into the other (only on one side) and this is even with the center support bracket, BUT this could just be due to uneven measuring and or installation by my husband, so I'm not concerned. We won't be pulling on the rod because it's strong enough to hold the curtains up. Although this one came from Amazon, I recently purchased a white one for our nursery from Home Depot (because Amazon was out of stock) and will be purchasing two more in black for my boys' rooms (from whoever gets them in stock first). They appear to be of good quality, and I would recommend them.

These worked perfectly for the price
5/5

My husband used our own hollow wall anchors to hang them because the ones that came with them weren't the best, but other than that, no issues. These are heavy velvet draperies, so bending the rods shouldn't be an issue if you hang them carefully. Rods longer than the standard 120" are difficult to come by at this price point. If extending out across a large span, you'll need at least two people to hold the rods so they don't bend.

Rods are decent, but the color is off
4/5

A new update: I needed another rod for a different window, so I ordered one. I went with the "84" option. I needed 118" so I went with 120". That rod has a maximum length of 96 inches. I'm not sure if I got the wrong rod because there was nothing in the box to indicate that. I'm going to use it in a different window because of the great rods. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Everything I said in my first review about the finish is true (it scratches easily, and oil rubbed bronze is just plain old brown). I was going to spray paint them to match the rest of my metals, but I was tired of it and decided to just hang them. I'm glad I took the opportunity to do so. They have an oil rubbed bronze finish and stand 9 feet tall. Who knew? They appear to be quite durable (my curtains are light, but I believe they could easily support heavier curtains). As a result, I've raised my rating to four stars from three. Original: br>br>Original: br>br>Original: br>br>Orig These are adequate and appear to be strong enough to support curtains. (I've only just begun installing the system. ) I wish I had spent a little more money and gotten some better ones. I chose to keep them because I purchased a large quantity and returning them would be inconvenient. However, I'm going to spray paint them because (1) the finish scraped off when it hit the wall during installation, and (2) 'oil rubbed bronze' is just plain brown. It doesn't even have a bronze appearance.

Nice rod! These curtain rods are attractive and sturdy
4/5

I ordered the "bronze" and was anticipating a burnished antique bronze finish, but they have a painted dark brown appearance. The end pieces must be inserted into the middle section with some effort, but they still look nice. This, along with the color, is why I gave it four instead of five stars. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and would suggest it to others.

Drill the holes out with a 3/16" drill bit, then go over them with a 7/32" drill bit
4/5

Good value for money. I was looking for something of higher quality, but it was not available. This is an effective method. The directions were the only real flaw in my product. The instructions said to drill the holes to a depth of 3/16", but they should have been 7/32". The anchors were strewn about in a haphazard manner. A drill bit with a diameter of 223" and a diameter of 7/32" is about. 217". 3/16" is a rough estimate. Because the hole was only 190" in diameter, the anchor's tail and head wouldn't fit completely. br>br>Drill the holes with a 3/16" drill bit, then finish with a 7/32" drill bit.

This drapery hanger is one of my favorites
5/5

This drapery hanger is one of my favorites! It was exactly what I needed for my front room to have the sleek look I desired. I'm tired of the baubles on the ends of traditional hangers. This is a very sturdy piece that comes with all of the necessary hardware. Screws, on the other hand, are inexpensive and easy to strip. Also, use drywall anchors that you have on hand. The ones that come with it are broken and do not work.

Sturdy
3/5

I was trying out the grommet type drape for the first time because I liked the look and could save money by closing them by hand, and I needed to block out the sun's heat. They carry out my instructions. They are extremely durable and can withstand repeated opening and closing. They do not, however, slide very well because they get tangled up in the seam that allows them to be adjusted. That is why I am giving you three stares. Someone needs to come up with a solution for this, such as a silicone sleeve for the rod to smooth it out.
