Because the rod is 1" in diameter, your rings must be as well. a lot bigger than that
Mine was reassembled with the help of a glue gun.
On a similar-sized door, we used a middle bracket; however, if the curtain is very light, you might be able to get away without it. But I have my doubts.
It's a decision that you must make. It's possible that it's sold out if it's not an option.

This rod was purchased for my 74" living room window, and it is beautiful. I had waited a long time for Renaissance gold to become available again, and it was well worth the wait; Furthermore, the seller appears to have heeded customer advice, as both finials arrived in styrofoam and were undamaged. It was a little difficult to install the fixtures into the wall because of the way the rods are secured in place, but they're very sturdy. The only flaws I'd like to point out are: First and foremost, according to the instructions in the box, I was supposed to have three rods in order for it to expand to its full 84" length. It cannot function without it, and I was fortunate enough not to require the third rod, but it was a closer call than I would have liked because I hang heavy curtains. Second, the finials screw into the ends of the rods in such a peculiar way that even if you tightened them both completely, they would not be even. I got around it by mostly tightening the right one until I felt secure enough to stand up. It's good enough for me, but because the finials are fragile, a larger margin of error would have caused it to swing around under its own weight and crash into the wall, causing both it and my wall to be damaged. Overall, these have been sturdy, cute, and have caused me no import issues after three months, so the risk seems manageable if you like them.
Both birds' tails were broken, and the birds sat incorrectly on the tie back, causing them to sit sideways rather than on top as shown on the website when installed. Terrible quality control and product.
I used it to measure the bracket placement so that all four of my windows would match and I wouldn't have to waste time measuring each one individually. Three short rods and one long rod with curtains and tie backs took a couple of hours for me to install. For the mollies, I used a power drill/screwdriver, a hand screwdriver, a ladder, and a hammer. I'm a 56-year-old arthritis-stricken woman who is reasonably handy but not particularly knowledgeable in this area. So, if you're handy with tools, go ahead and do it. br>br>Please accept my apologies for the photos that are facing the wrong way. I'm writing on my phone and don't know how to rotate the pages.
These rods are fantastic, and they're extremely durable. Resin has been used to create the birds. When one of them broke upon arrival, I glued it and then covered the seam with a black permanent marker. I wish the birds were made out of metal.
I would have given it five stars if one of the birds' tails hadn't been broken off, as it had been in the case of so many others. As a result, there was no visible break when I glued it back on. I like how the product is packaged. It's not even close to being well-packed. In the future, I hope they will be more proud of their product. Increase the price by a few dollars and stuff the birds with Styrofoam. It would be well worth it, with all of your reviews being 5 stars and very satisfied customers! If you even read these, it's just something to think about. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, and I'm relieved that there was only one clean break.
It's not pewter in the least. The metal is black, with a silver bird. If I had known it was black, I would not have bought it because it was supposed to go with pewter curtain rings and a pewter rod. Birds were not properly aligned, so they had to be gently coaxed into sitting upright by using an over-the-shoulder technique. the screw is being tightened Because the birds are ceramic, be careful not to drop them, as I discovered the hard way when attempting to retread one on the base and breaking the tip of one of the wings. We don't have time to wait for a better tieback because we need to hang the curtains, and returning isn't worth the trouble.
After reading the reviews, I decided to take the chance of having to glue the bird's tail back on, as many others had. Nobody would notice the glue job from that vantage point! Well. The broken-off piece of the tail isn't even in the box! It's as if they knew it was broken before packing it and didn't bother to include the broken piece. This is something I'll be returning.
Simply stunning.
