This curtain rod went with the theme I wanted and was one of the few that could span the 15' I needed. Needless to say, four panels of curtains are quite heavy, and when you factor in the wind and rain, you can see why I was worried. This rod has been outstanding! br>br> It has proven to be extremely durable! It was a cinch to put together! The rod is relatively light, making installation a breeze, but the hardware is top-notch! br>br>It looks fantastic, does the job, and isn't too expensive! (As well as the curtains, which are also from Amazon!).
Because my windows are 160 inches wide, I've never attempted to hang curtains in 23 years because I didn't think I'd be able to do it on a single rod. I went with sheer curtains (three pairs at a cost of ten dollars each). 00 a pair on Amazon) and I couldn't be more pleased with the way my sunroom now looks. The extra-long rod was purchased by me. One middle support appears to be in good shape; it's a sturdy rod. With two people, the setup took about 20 minutes.
The small rod, at 92", is only 2 to 3" in the large rod. Because I couldn't find an easy or convenient way to hang a center support, I shortened the two large rods (cutting about 4" off each). For added strength, both large and small rods could be used together. It appears to be of adequate quality. The only way to know is to wait.
According to other reviews, this could be made of a less expensive aluminum. It isn't the case. Although it is not made of wrought iron, it is made of a heavier steel that does not sag easily. However, if your opening is longer, you will need to use the center support - Alternatively, you can use a long dowel to run down the center. Stury, it looks fantastic, and it HAS the appearance of a wrought iron industrial pipe.
It'll look great on the gazebo's curtains. The change in size for adjustment is a pain for siding, as it is with any adjustable rod, but it is to be expected. On the other gazebo, we used real black pipe, but this was a less expensive alternative, so we'll see how it goes! It looks fantastic and appears to be very sturdy!.
I've only had these hanging in my gazebo for a few weeks, so I'm not sure how well they'll hold up to the elements, but so far they've performed admirably. They are easy to install and versatile, and they look great. They are durable and strong, and they are well worth the money. You will need to remove a section to get the shortest length. You simply slide it out to remove it, which is simple, but it took us about 30 minutes to figure out— it had been a long day. . . I'd buy it again.
These curtain rods are simple to put up. They look great and are very functional; however, the ease of assembly was the best feature; they are very sturdy and have an exquisite appearance; I have purchased five so far and plan to purchase many more.
Kit includes everything you need. Everything you'll need to get started is included in the package. It took 15 minutes to complete the installation.
