Two stars instead of one only because they look decent once installed and while you wouldn't be able to see how they look if you were in your home. The closest they will ever be to you. It is made of cheaply made material that bows easily when the curtain is hung on it long enough to cover the entire length. Besides, the ceilings don't extend all the way I received bars that are 81" long before they separate where there is no spacing. The screws are not protected from falling apart, which made installing them a challenge. Originally, I was going to use them on a focal window, but realized they were too short for it and bowed easily. So, I moved them to a smaller window with only sheer curtains hanging on the bars, and they hung better. This is the easiest and quickest option if you're looking for an inexpensive and quick fix, but they're not strong enough for wide windows and are made of cheap materials.
I was afraid they would look cheap based on the images, but I did not want to pay a lot of money for them. I have seen them in person, and they are beautiful. I would call them true brushed nickel because they don't appear too shiny or chrome. Depending on the curtains you pair with them, these can be good for a casual look or a glam look. My very first reaction to this product is that it's very nice quality. There's very little to complain about. We will now look at the worst part. There is a wall mount designed to hold the curtain rod itself as well as a smaller one behind it for sheers. The biggest flaw runs somewhere in how the wall mount dips to hold the rod. A dip for the sheer's rod is located right next to the hole where the screw goes, making it incredibly difficult to screw it all the way in. Having a screw driver at an angle at the dip in the mount makes it impossible to tighten the screw all the way without the screw driver slipping out of the screw (and stripping it out) and scraping In summation, if you like mental torture and scraping paint off your walls, then this set is perfect for you. The purchase of 5 of these was part of the process of removing all the old thick wooden rods that came with the house. My favorite part of the double rod is its simplicity. As a result of reading the other reviews, I made the decision It's a sturdy product, I think. Plastic is not used for the "ornamental" ends rather, metal is used. If the mounting holes had been designed differently, the brackets would have mounted better, but this can be dealt with if the brackets are mounted. What I was expecting were really cheap looking, cheap made items, and this does not disappoint me.
