The majority of our products are sanded and unfinished wood, but these letters have been hand painted in a black finish. When painting or staining, light sanding between coats may be necessary to achieve a smooth project finish if you're adding more paint. Our personalized initials can be used in bedrooms, on the front door, as gifts, or anywhere else where a personalized wall decoration is required.

Is it possible to hang this item on a wall?

Yes - Command strips and clear tacks were used to make this project.

I'm curious if the letter can be removed from the board; all I require is a black letter. ?

It wasn't on a board in the version I got; it was just the letter itself. That is also how I believe it should be delivered to you.

I'm not sure how I'm going to put this up on the wall. The back is devoid of hooks or openings. ?

Is it possible for the letter m to stand alone?

Hi there! I bought this letter as wall decor, and while it's perfect to hang, I don't think it'll be able to stand on its own because it's a fairly thin letter with a narrow bottom part. Hope this helps!
