That's what I think. With flat paint, they easily adhere to my sheet rock wall. They're also simple to peel away. If you glue them on, I believe they will tear and possibly peel the paper off of the sheet rock if you want to remove them. I also used sticky picture hanger stickums that can easily be peeled off my ceiling to hang four miniature planes with fishing line.
The planes range in size from approximately 5 inches wide by 4 inches long to approximately 10 inches wide by 5 inches long. 5 in l. There are a couple that are about 12in w x 6in l in size. They have my approval. They've done a fantastic job of holding us together.
On a white wall, I hung them. The back of the card is transparent.

Even textured walls can benefit from the use of this technique. I purchased a package of these decals for my three-year-old daughter. year- room of an older son They clung to his textured and painted walls with ease. What I liked best was that the areas around the plane were clear, so it didn't appear as if you had slapped white-background stickers against a wall. Because they were clear, you could see through to the color of the wall, giving them a more elegant appearance than if they were painted on. The colors are fantastic. It's simple to apply (and, for those of us who aren't perfect, to remove and reapply). My five-year-old son was able to apply them to the wall without difficulty, and they did not cause any damage to freshly painted walls when reapplied multiple times.
