Wickman Wick Dipper can be utilized by sliding the small end under the pieces and pulling them out of the candle wax with the large end. The process works most of the time, even though it isn't always straightforward. As well, if you have the Wickman Wick Trimmer, you can use it to catch the messy ends as you trim You can also help your candle burn more efficiently by checking the flame as it burns and trimming the wick when the wick is getting too thick.

Worked well for me. I'll tell you how it works. Luckily, I didn't have to buy anything special for this task. Having fallen in love with Bath and Body Works candles, I soon figured out there was a lot more I needed to learn about the maintenance and care of candles. This is where the wick dipper comes in. Considering the price, I suppose it is a reasonable purchase- Had I not been lazy and looked, I would have probably found it cheaper in a brick and mortar store. Strong and thick, it is suitable for long-term use. A nice little packaging, which makes little difference for the sake of the overall result. As far as its performance is concerned, I give it a 5 star rating on account of the low cost and the fact that it will last you a long time due to its metal construction.
As for me, I no longer blow out my candles, only covering the flame with the candle lid, but this tool is better for the wick.
