Questions & Answers

What will happen if you use this to cut tiki ?

In addition to reducing soot in your home, trimming wicks is necessary for candle safety, candle aesthetics, and candle safety. Is there any burning inside of you? Tiki torch wicks are typically used to light outside areas and to repel mosquitoes, so the larger the flame with more smoke, My two cents, if you will. Thanks for your help.

What is the manufacturer's part number for this 90 degree bend trimmer?

To simplify the description of the trimmer, I will describe it in two parts The handle and blade are made from Jar candles do have handles that enter them at 90 degrees or very close to this angle. A blade is composed of- The disc which opens and closes at the end of the handle to cut the wick - An angle of less than 120 degrees separates the two. In other words, the trimmer fits right in and the wick is trimmed at a slant, that is. Candles should not be placed parallel to the flat surface on which they are placed.

lol It's always better not to know how important something is until you have it

I saved a few large candles I thought I would never be able to use again. There was a black cloud of smoke coming from the pine Yankee candle As a result, I now trim its wick after each burn, and it still smells and burns well. All those "trim the wick" instructions made me think they were for movie butlers and some posh people on another planet, but nope, they must not be for them. You folks need to trim your wicks. Make sure your wicks are trimmed.

Wick Trimmers are the perfect tool for trimming wicks
5/5

This is the second of these I have purchased in the last few weeks- In other words, I've owned one for years. There were a lot of times I used it- However, I still must do this- My favorite! I never have any problems with it! very well, but remember to trim the wicks carefully to not cut them too short, and keep a tissue handy to collect the charcoal wicks to discard. I keep these trimmers in drawers, but they make a nice statement when you take them out to use them. As an option, you can keep them on a table - It's a nice looking car. Our homes should be filled with lovely objects to make us feel happy - The wick trimmers are even better! Candle wicks should be cut properly to ensure flames do not rise too high due to long wicks, which is a safety measure. This is something I would highly recommend. These wick trimmers look great and are very effective.

I love this candle tool - Can't imagine how I ever got along without one
5/5

As someone who burns tons of candles, this wick trimmer is such a handy tool that it seems a necessity to me now. It soon became apparent that I hadn't been able to live without it. (Unlike scissors) It is designed specifically for removing the wick when it is low into the candle, and it is able to trim the wick when the candle is low into the candle. This is a nice collection of photos- Looking forward to I think it would be a great gift- You will be able to work smoothly and efficiently. After they arrived and I tested them, I noticed that they were stiff and did not open and close smoothly, but after a few tries, they started opening and closing smoothly again. To see if this is the case the first time you get them, try opening and closing a few times and see if it improves before you return them. This is an update to my review As a result of using the wick trimmer for some months, it has become rather dull, so now it is difficult to cut the wick using this tool- When you use dull or bad scissors on fabric, it looks like it hacks at it like when you use dull or bad scissors Other than the dullness, otherwise I was very happy with this, but the short usage time makes it likely I will have to replace it soon, and I am not expecting that as soon as I have had it.

Candles such as hurricanes, tall jars, and lanterns cannot be lit with this, but they can be lit with shorter candles
3/5

I have a Yankee Candle wick cutter that my mom has that is so useful. It is flat, and the handle is at a 90 degree angle so it is at The Yankee model was the same price and had free shipping, but I got this as a Prime member since it was the same price, but with no shipping. In terms of similarities, they are quite similar. They are both engraved with nice details, both made of stainless steel, and both are Only two cons have been identified so far, but they are important There is a small amount of wick left on the ground after the latter. This wick is about 3/4" long (the ideal length) and you can cut it with ease. The one I bought is 25" shorter (approximately) than the one my mom already has, meaning it won't work for the one thing I bought it for - Cut the wicks off of jar candles when they are burnt down to the wicks. It's impossible for me to reach any of the wicks and I have plenty of candle left. This is made worse by the strange angle of the cutter, since it's difficult to tilt the handle, and the lowest point is only the very tip (which doesn't actually cut). Unlike hers, the lowest point on mine is in the middle of the cutter, where the blade cuts best. I sent this back in order.

candle is a kind of illumination This is something every lover needs
5/5

That's exactly what I was looking for. This is one of those items you don't realize you need until you get It is better and lasts longer for candles if their wicks are trimmed, but it is very difficult to get scissors in there to do so. The item works great, even has a rim around the cutting area to contain the trimmed piece so that you can throw it away afterwards. There's a lot of material and it feels like it's solidly Along with a nice tall candle, it would make a lovely gift because it is even engraved with a decorative design.

This is such a cool gadget! Despite being a day ahead of schedule, the package arrived at my mailbox today
5/5

It has been a few weeks since I received the trimmer, so I cannot yet speak about its durability. A number of candles have been tested with this product- There are both wood wicks and traditional wicks for use in candles The candles are available in jars, votives, and smaller jars. In addition to keeping the sooty black wick trims out of the candle, the trimmer works very well. My first one should have arrived years ago, so I wonder how I went so long without another one.

The item did not work once it was received

This product does not have a protective package for the blade. The blades of the wick trimmer couldn't cut anything when they arrived, I got so as to avoid getting soot all over my fingers, I opted to buy this (better) wick trimmer rather than others I was considering for a lesser price? Their communication was so out of sync that the pair could not even contact each other. Returning them for a refund was the right thing to do. I could not find any protective or sealed packaging for these products. This may be the cause of In that case, I would look for another option.

An excellent grade

Regular scissors are the ones I have been using at home My scissors for cutting the wicks were made for me when I made candles, and I have to express how pleased I am. You can cut right through without fraying your ends like you may with regular scissors. There is only one issue I have to mention - they appear much larger than what the picture indicates, yet it makes no difference to.
