Multiple times I have ordered from the Humboldt hemp wick website and it never had a strong smell or taste of hay or poop. I tried to light it on amazon and it doesn't burn nearly as well, it burns faster, it is more difficult to reduce and it leaves a lot of black residue on my finger tips after it's been snuffed As opposed to the ones I got from Humboldt, which I found to be so much better and that did not stink, didn't taste like doody, and left no black residue on my fingers after use. This product will not be bought from Amazon again however, you might want to consider hemp wicks from the "humboldt hempwick" website it's cheaper from them as well.
Having ordered from this company for the third time, I was very satisfied. It took me three years to use up the last 200-foot roll. There is no guarantee as to how far you'll travel. There is a good deal of wax on them, as have been read by others. The fact that it burns well doesn't bother me too much, but only after I learn not to flick it out like a match and then wonder like an idiot why I got burned. After I realized that you have to extinguish the flame in some other way, it made the experience even more fun. Even though I know how little butane you taste, it is still really noticeable to me. It doesn't matter what you smoke, you're still going to taste the nasty butane if you smoke the nastiest stuff. It wouldn't taste good if you ate it with anything good, wouldn't it? You should avoid it as much as possible. It's time to bid farewell to my days of trying to light pipes in alleyways. At my current location, I only have access to the comforts of home. That way I can make a difference. It's true for me, too. Butane is a no-no. That's not on my agenda!.
Although this is the best hemp string I've ever found, the latest batch I received is a lighter shade (I noticed that it also holds up better and longer than previous batches)
I wear it 24/7 around my wrists and ankles and it continues to stay strong. It is also totally perfect for smoking, it will burn a little bit too fast for someone who is slow since it is not as thick as some versions (I prefer this so that my flame doesn't get out of control if I look away for a few seconds! )
It's an addictive No excessive amount of wax (that could be the reason why this smoke tastes good but is not overpowering)* When worn for jewelry, wax will wash off after one or two showers, less if directly scrubbed, but string remains very strong and does not fray when washed.
They grow and manufacture their own wick here in the US (Humboldt County), so that's a major plus. Is there anything not to like about this? If it's a family-owned or Made in America business, I support it as much as I can! My first order of this wick came from Amazon two years ago, when it came straight from California but is now distributed via Typically, a 250ft spool of hemp wick lasts me about 6 months, and I also use up 1 or 2 lighters in that time. I wrap the hemp wick around my lighters and it saves so much lighter fuel. It burns slowly and has a sweet smell of beeswax, so you will be glad you bought it! There is no doubt about this, this is one of my favorite companies on Amazon despite the fact that they only offer a few product lines!
