Good morning. Can you tell me if this wick is simply a flat piece of material, or if it is a flat 'tube' (like the replacement wicks available at Walmart for about $1 ea. )? Please accept my sincere thanks! ?

There is nothing like a tube here The edges on both sides are finished A belt made of woven fabric.

The wick on this candle is cotton, isn't it?

There's no doubt about it Cotton seems to me to be the fabric.

How thick is the lamp light wick in this brand compared to the lamp light brand that comes in a 6 foot ?

Although they are about the same thickness, they are available in a variety of sizes, starting at I.e., 14", and so forth. The product I received was very good

Which one is thicker, and how wide is it? My wicks are 5/8" x 10", but the knob for adjusting the wicks has a problem grabbing. ?

Yes, this is the RIGHT stuff. Cut the wicks EXTRA LONG so there is less waste. Taking into account that kerosene lamps are used for many hours every day, you will end up trimming off about 1/4 inch per day when you are using them. *BR>*BR> I strongly recommend CUTTING your wicks up into 12 or 14 inch LENGTHS BECAUSE there will always be about 3-4% of the wick left over There are five inches on the end lost because it doesn't reach the fuel, so the 8" wicks you get to burn only four of if they reach the bottom of the fuel. The whole thing is 5" wide. (Regularly use 4 inches at 1/4" per day for 16 days, until you have to get rid of your replacing them with 4", you'll get to burn 10 inches before the candle needs changing. A substantial reduction of waste (MUCH less).
