I finally found what I was looking for and they are perfect. I wasn't expecting anything like this to be so good. I like that they are tough and don't have the loose wiggle you get with bad scissors. They work perfectly, and I can maneuver them and cut AND catch the wick with them. That's why they keep a sharp eye out for These are such a great price, and you get two for one! I'd highly recommend them.

They are spoon-shaped, so if you need to trim more than one wick in a single container or on other candle jars, the blade will hold onto the excess wick and keep it from falling out. Besides their nice look, I like that they have a long handle, so I can easily grab them with my hand when the candles get.

I was sceptical until I watched a firecracker shoot off a candle a few months ago, and I finally caved in and bought them. I have only had them for a day, but even my old man pops on the wave. It is so much easier to use this. Bending the tip to make it more useful has a big impact. Although it is sturdy and not particularly heavy, it is not bulky. In addition to buying one for myself, I gifted one to my mother as well.
