Questions & Answers

What are the benefits of using a natural corn-based product? What is the difference between a fiber broom and a broom with synthetic bristles? Thanks. ?

Synthetic bristles, in my experience, do not collect debris as well as natural corn broom bristles. Weight, balance, and bend are all advantages of using a corn broom. The bristles bend as you sweep, that's right. Enough?

Is corn fiber used in its construction? Although the title indicates this, the description states "corn, fiber, or synthetic material." Thanks. ?

It looks like it's made of corn fiber to me. There's nothing in it that looks synthetic to me. I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it to others.

For $10, you can get a single broom. For a total of 49, there are 33, but two. 99 $This math appears to be incorrect. ?

So order two and double-check the final page for accuracy, or better yet, call customer service and ask a representative.

Was it weiler or ocedar that was stiffer and more durable?

Ocedar is a brand new to me. My Weiler has been sweeping my deck, garage, and walkway for three years, and the bristles are still as stiff as the day I bought it.

Time will tell, but so far, so good
3/5

for the price. I just updated and dropped it two stars. stars. Updated on February 28, 2019. Time will tell, and after only four months, we can already see the results. It's starting to fall apart after months of light to moderate use; fibers are breaking off and/or bending outwards, causing them to no longer hit the floor, and my original 4-foot length is no longer functional. The number of stars in the game has been reduced to two. stars. This one isn't going to be used for a long time, so the adage "they don't make them like they used to" applies. It's cheap for a reason, so don't expect it to replace a vintage-style corn fiber broom. Sweeping bare tile floors in a house isn't what I'd call strenuous work for this type of broom, but you'll need several per year if you want to use it in a barn, garage, or even a warehouse. br>br>It has half the fiber of our vintage wood handle corn broom, but it costs about ten times as much. It's getting the job done for a few bucks. It will take some time to break in, but it is the best type of broom we've used on our tile floors because it cleans out the grouted areas well and is great on wooden decks. It also has a massive handle that is far superior to the thin plastic handles found on so many other brooms. . . it's corn fiber or nothing from here on out. It was docked a star because the number of strands is a little low, putting it below the "heavy-duty" category. In the description, there is a claim that "duty" is implied.

HEAVY DUTY IS NO LONGER REQUIRED
3/5

Today's delivery was Broom. The timing was excellent. When my screened-in back porch was dry, I decided to put the broom to the test. I was skeptical because it is extremely light weight and should have at least 80% more corn fiber bristles at least 80% more corn fiber bristles at least 80% more corn fiber brist Several bristles fell off and some broke after sweeping, as if I had "man-handled" the situation. "It was violently handled. " I just finished sweeping the carpet. I'm not a big fan of giving bad reviews, but come on. This isn't a broom for heavy use. I was noticed in stores like Walmart, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware because I was looking for a good broom at a good price. br> Hey; AND THIS IS NOT IT. I recall a "good" sturdy straw or large whisk broom, and THIS IS NOT IT. If you put this in a workshop with screws, small metal pieces, nuts bolts, and other such items, this broom will be history in no time; the company should be ashamed to call it "heavy duty. " Although the wood handle is attractive, it is in desperate need of additional bristles. I wish I had bought a broom that was a bit thicker.

This is the worst broom I've ever had
3/5

I'm not sure I've ever given a product a one-star rating, but this is the worst broom I've ever had. The number of people who appear to be satisfied with it astounds me. Maybe I was given a lemon. To begin with, the one I got was quite frail. There aren't nearly as many fibers as there are in the human body. They began to fall out almost immediately after that. Despite its infrequent use, the broom developed visible gaps in the fibers after only a few months and was rendered useless. This is the only company from which I would never purchase another broom.

This is a fantastic broom, and it's now even cheaper! Take a look at the photos I took of this broom after 17 months of use outside
5/5

I placed an order for a new one for $16. The price dropped to $10 between when I bought it and when it arrived. 30 days later, Amazon kindly refunded the $6. The difference is 66 points. When was the last time a item was 40% reduced? Is it set to be phased out? Mexico is where it's made. Has it become more difficult to earn a living in Mexico? I'm considering placing a second order. br>br>As you can see from my photos, the first broom got a lot of use. I wouldn't recommend leaving it outside; however, because the fibers are stiff enough to remove small debris, the broom can be used indoors on carpets when it's new.

Stiff

When it comes to jabbing into corners and under benches, you can't beat it. For our 2500 sq. ft. house, I ordered this broom. ft. home with its 100% solid White Oak flooring but found it too stiff for light dust sweeping Instead of sweeping up small pieces of wood, heavy dust, and general debris, it excels at jabbing it into corners and under workbenches. It is now used in our garage/woodworking workshop where it excels at sweeping up small pieces of wood, heavy dust, and general debris. br>The O- br>br>br>br>br> The Cedar Heavy Duty Commercial 100% Corn Broom with Solid Wood Handle was also purchased and it performs exceptionally well in our home with 100% solid White Oak flooring. It's soft and flexible, and it's great for sweeping light dust, among other things. We had bought both this and the O-broom, so it was cedar. Broom made of cedar wood.

That's a big ol' thing! This seemed like a good option for keeping the debris off of my new, large composite decks
3/5

WRONG! This broom is far too heavy and stiff for a 74-year-old widow with physical limitations to handle comfortably. I'll return to the angled broom with a light weight. However, not everyone is my age or in my physically challenged state, so this broom is for the majority of people looking for a sturdy, stiff, long-lasting broom.

Not in the same league as Heavy Duty
4/5

I'm not impressed after dealing with ridiculously and clearly inaccurate information about the shipment of this broom on multiple occasions, waiting nearly a month for Amazon to produce it, and having to pick it up from my neighbor's house where it was delivered incorrectly, Although it's a sturdy outdoor broom with a good weight, the bristles aren't stiff enough to warrant a "heavy-duty" rating. rating, such as "heavy duty" or "industrial. " It serves my purposes well, and I'd buy it again for my current needs, but if you require a broom for industrial or near-industrial use, this is not the broom for you. Buy at a local hardware store to "test drive" your options for industrial applications.

It's always better to go old school

When it comes to sweeping with a broom, I prefer this corn-streaked broom. br> Broom with a straw handle and a wooden handle. It's well-made and, if properly used, will last a long time. br>The plastic versions simply don't hold up to repeated use. br>Aside from that, if you have a pile of trash that needs to be emptied into a dustpan, this is the one to use. br>Many thanks to Amazon. the manufacturer, for producing a high-quality product at a reasonable cost.
