Yes, the shape is maintained. Mine has been in my possession for over a year, and I use it on a daily basis. My daughter works as a barber and owns a shop. She spends the entire day sweeping her hair. It's a hit with her, and she can get rid of all of her hair in one sweep. I hope that this information is useful.
Although it isn't made of horsehair, the synthetic fibers make it the best broom I've ever had. It cleans my hardwood floors by collecting dust and other debris. It's easy to hold because of the foam around the handle.
Yes, but the screwed-in part is made of plastic, and ours broke after only a few months!
This is a fantastic broom. It has never unscrewed itself. The broom's bristles are soft, and it has a lot of them. I love this broom and am selective about who I allow to use it because it picks up everything the first time.

First and foremost, this broom is one of my favorites. I was sick of wearing out Target specials and decided to invest in a higher-quality item. This checked all of my boxes, so I decided to give it a shot. I've been using it to sweep my house, which has all wood floors, for the past month and I'm very pleased with it. One drawback is that I had to replace the broomstick, which was a necessary upgrade. I am a 5- 11 guy, and the broom handle that came with it was too short for me, causing back pain. I haven't gotten much use out of this broom - I've only used it twice, but it's been a good experience. I'm looking forward to using it for a long time, so I can't speak to its durability. To me, it appears to be strong and solid. I think I'll like it a lot. The handle is nice and long - I like the width and how it performed during my brief "sweeps. " I wouldn't have written this review if I wasn't excited by the promise it holds. But I looked for a long time and couldn't find anything that appealed to me, so I'm doing this to let anyone who is thinking about getting it know that it appears to be worth it. At the time of consideration, so many other brooms appeared unappealing. This was a good one.
My mother kept hers for over a year. Back in the late 1980s, my mother purchased this broom from a neighbor who worked for the company as a door-to-door salesman. She only used this broom, gently cutting the bristles that were horribly damaged until the broom looked like a disgrace to all brooms. When my siblings and I insisted on getting rid of it and replacing it with a new one, my mother sobbed uncontrollably. After a few years of my mother complaining that no other broom could compare to her Harper, I did some research and discovered that they haven't changed their brooms since the 1980s, and there's a reason for that: they're unnaturally good. I made fun of my mother's broom for ten years, and now I have one of my own that I can't live without.
This broom has made my life so much easier. I purchased two of these. The broom does a great job on the wood floor and gets most if not all of the dust without leaving trails of dirt; it also seems to be gentle on the wood and synthetic floor finish as there are no marks or scratches left. br> br>The broom also does a fantastic job of sweeping the finished garage floor, as well as sawdust from my projects. Of course, I have to use a vacuum cleaner to completely remove dust from some edges and corners that the broom can't reach, but it's never a big deal. br>The item is well-made, and I anticipate it lasting a long time.
I purchased a Harper broom in 2016 and it was excellent. This one appeared to be the same as the previous one, but it only picks up a few sand grains. I'm extremely disappointed. I bought a treelen broom and dustpan based on Amazon's recommendation, but it doesn't pick up sand, so I sent it back, along with another horse hair broom that was poorly made. Because we live in a sandbox and have a dog who doesn't help, a broom is extremely important to me. We have wood and tile floors, so I'm returning this one. Eileen Sundberg, thank you so much.
I've been on the lookout for a wide broom to make sweeping up dirt and animal hair easier. People claimed this product was not durable and would break when they used it, according to the reviews I read. I'm very careful not to press down too hard as a result of that problem, and I've had no issues. I can get it into most corners because of the soft bristles. This broom is perfect for me.
This is the second and third time I've purchased this broom. My first one was given to the people who bought our house as a housewarming present. The second is for our new home, and the third will be hidden and given as a present later. These brooms are fantastic. Solid, comfortable in the hands, and quick to pick up dust and dog hair from hardwood floors while still being sturdy enough to sweep the garage and porch.
