Plastic bristles, to be precise.
I believe a damp paper towel would be more effective than a brush! This is more of a crumbs-on-the-table type of thing.

After snack and lunch, we use this to sweep our tables. It is simple for both children and adults to use. I'm definitely going to order some extras!.
I wish the magnet was a little more powerful. This is primarily for the brush, which I use to clean debris from my desk. The majority of the bits are erasers. br>br>Quality isn't great; the brush hairs are fine, but there are gaps in them that could allow smaller crumbs to fall through the cracks. The magnet has a very weak magnetic field. It doesn't stick well to magnetic surfaces and will eventually slide. The condition of the wood is satisfactory. I wish the brush's wood was the same as the pan's wood. br>br>The small pan that comes with it is thick and does not taper at the edges. I wasn't planning on using it in the first place, but if I did, this would have a significant impact on the product's effectiveness.
This is a great set that is more useful than you might think. However, the magnet on the brush is useless, so don't expect to hang this as a set on the wall. Pet hair, dried food, and spilled seasonings seem to get caught up in the brush's bristles. You need a wide swath to brush for a good cleaning action, which makes the "dustbin" less useful, but I like having it.
Cleaning crumbs and other debris from a kitchen work surface is a breeze with this tool. However, if you try to use it for bigger jobs, it will feel like you're playing with a toy from a children's pretend housekeeping set.
This product has a poor design. The dust pan has a flat edge rather than a descending edge, making sweeping crumbs into it impossible. I was fortunate to have a boyfriend who works as a lathe operator, and he was able to take it to work with him and grind the edge down to make it slant. I'm no longer having trouble sweeping crumbs up. Perhaps I was given a "lemon. " I just feel bad if anyone else buys one and gets one with the same issue that mine did. Unless, of course, everyone knows someone who has the right tools and can grind the edge down for them. / I would have given this item 5 stars if it weren't for that issue.
I've always fantasized about having a butler, preferably one who is completely silent. This is what I discovered, and it's absolutely adorable! It will assist me in keeping crumbs off the kitchen counter and off the table. I'm relieved that I now possess it.
Because the magnet is so weak, the brush falls off. Because the pan isn't perfectly flat on the table, it won't work. I'm going to return to my regular pan and hair bench brush at home.
Worms respond much better to a crumber that resembles a scoop. The brush is extremely gentle, but I'm not sure why this is significant.
