To protect my stainless steel sauce pan from rust and to keep it clean, I bought this mineral oil. After I used this oil to clean my stainless steel sink, the pan looked so good I used it to clean my stainless steel sink too. Today, the sink looks nearly as good as new as it did forty years ago. I compared the bottle to one from the kitchen sink to find that there was no scent, and the taller bottle was thin enough to sit next to the faucet. For cleaning, only a few items are needed. *BUT* BEWARE There is a disclaimer on the label that tells you to NOT drink this. As far as its stated purpose is concerned, it is excellent.
A couple of wooden spatulas I made came out really nice after using this mineral oil. By retaining the natural oils in the wood, the oil brings out the deep colors of the wood and helps protect it from being damaged by food oils. As far as I'm concerned, it does what it's supposed to do. Spreading it out easily and keeping things from sticking to the spatulas is effective. In order to preserve the longevity of the spatulas, they are never allowed to soak in detergent water but are instead cleaned, rinsed, and dried after washing. My next step will be to reapply oil after several washings. Before using it for the first time, I applied about four coats of oil.
In addition to being a food-grade product, it will also keep my teeth in tip-top shape Cutting boards can be safely oiled with mineral oil of a high grade. The cutting boards look great after I applied the oil and let it soak overnight. I wiped it off the next morning. As long as the cutting boards are maintained with mineral oil, I will continue to use it.
In addition to buying bamboo cutting boards to replace wooden ones that had mildew and small splits, I decided to give all my wooden boards some TLC as well. As soon as we got them, we gave them two coats, and a week later we gave them another As a result, they were all absorbed later.
A light oil with the same viscosity as baby oil without the fragrance. Suitable for allergy sufferers since there is no fragrance to trigger their allergies.
I am messy! Later, when I see how my granite sink looks in the morning, I will write more. Earlier today, the mineral oil showed up. I lost about 2 ounces of the 16 ounces because the cap was loose in the packaging. It was in a plastic bag, so that was a good thing. The mess is big!.
I could not find mineral oil of food grade in my area. The fact that it was available through Amazon was a huge plus. I have been using it to season the butcher block very successfully and it arrives quickly.
This product was one of the many things my husband and I used to make cutting boards. This is a really easy to use program. I have already recommended it to a couple of.
