In the past few years, I've tried out a lot of different oil for my cutting boards, and have pretty much settled on a non-flammable You name it My mineral oil worked quite well, so I recommend it. I took the last bottle of wine to the lab when the last one ran out, so I could do some tests. The Clark fella may not be well known to me, but he is undoubtedly knowledgeable about cutting boards and their protection. I found exactly what I had been looking for in this kit I enjoyed our food a lot There seems to be no detail Clark did not consider! Having lived in Colorado, a word that means 'this air will dry out wood', I have seen the effects of air drying on wood products. Having been a doctor for over twenty years, you can trust me. In other words, it means what it says. I am showing some photos below (or above, depending on the angle of the computer screen) that give you an idea of how one of my bamboo boards was worn out. A very quick delivery of the product was made. I felt that the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The oil and wax have a nice citrus smell without being overpowering. Both the applicator brush and buff pad perform well for the purposes for which they are intended. did not take any before and after photos, despite the fact that my board is brand new and does not look all that different from when I first got it. When I applied the product for the first time, I used very little. As the one board I own will likely last for several decades, I won't need to buy another for a long time.
Cutting boards cannot be made with this, but it is the perfect material for furniture. It has not been tested for food safety, but does a good job as a substitute. The smell is great, and it does a great job for woodwork. It may not be suitable for people with digestive issues, but it would do a great job for woodwork.
The user interface is very straightforward. It is highly recommended that you apply two to three coats of the oil before applying the wax to fresh wood. The bamboo works really well with this. I like how light the scent is and how it is not overpowering at all.
